Transport of goods become easy across the border. Where trucks used to spend hours and days . tax harassment got drastically reduced, tax avoiding reduced by system in place etc
Taxes were collected along with products and evaded before GST. That is the problem business people were facing now. People were not given bills. Public were not aware of paying taxes before.

Please make an video of max 20 minutes... Take 2 mins for what are pre GST tax in India. Speak about DOUBLE TAXATION before GST and speak about ITC (input tax credit)... Speak about why TN saying revenue is low in GST comparing to old tax, speak fully with data... Oru example vachu sollunga kiran apo tha normal people ku la puriuim... Give only valid point... Nenga correct aa sonnala pothuim people will decide which is good... Really GST is good but still people can't understand how it is working...So political attack illama vaild points mattuim sollunga... kaindepa people will understand...
For common people yes. Still, the GST creates issues for the business, the officer's haranment hasn't come down. Any error made during filing can't be corrected. Eg- in place of 18%, if I enter 9% & 9% can't correct it and we get notice after 4 years to pay the tax again (Which was paid 4 years ago) and with penalty. Hope an auditor will keep giving more cases, where we suffer due to some small errors, which are really not a big issue.

To be frank,this video could have been better.I feel u could have done proper research.Its true that GST has some issues and course correction is on the way.
But its definitely a improvement from the previous system.
Also,2yrs back SC gave a judgement that recommendations of GST council are not binding and states are free to make changes w.r.t GST law.But no state did that,bcoz they also know doing that would impact the ease of doing business.
Most of the decisions of GST council are taken by consensus,which means our ministers dont oppose it within GST council,but will do politics outside GST council .
If possible pls put another video explaining the rationale behind introducing GST,how it helps in formalizing the exonomy and increased tax collection and reasons why TN is opposing it(production state vs consuming state)
Also,there are people like Seeman ,whose Knowledge on economy is known to the world,questioning why alcohol (a sin good) is not brought under GST.Its time to counter them with facts and evidence.
