Another fun video Adam! You are the reason I am on the list for a Spotted Python. I was also happy to find they are an inexpensive animal as well. Thanks again for providing inspiration.
Choices have to be made of course, but an Amazon Tree Boa would certainly deserve a place on this list. I had a few of them: reasonable size, diversity in coloration and very interesting behavior.

I actually think he's easier to handle now, they're so tiny as babies you're more worried about hurting/losing them!
Great video. Arboreal snakes are really cool. I've got a macklots python and he's the most fun to interact with. He's constantly reaching way out and looking for stuff to climb. I really love your video. I'd like to add to your video that there are boids out there that stay pretty small. If someone really wants a boa but they have to be on the smaller side look up tarahumara, nicaragua or hog island boas. Also talk to a trusty breeder there are breeders out there who prefer to breed the smaller variants over the huge ones. Feed really plays into a boas growth as well I find that they grow slower (which is more healthy) if you feed them every 10-14 days. Overfeeding a boa is not only a health risk but also really hard to get under control once your pet is obese. Especially with reptiles that generally don't move much.
There is a clip from Steve Irwin that I laugh at every time where he is walking through a rainforest and catches a white lipped python that will not stop nailing him while he talks about it.

@@WickensWickedReptiles I had never heard of Dumerils until your unboxing video. It seems that they combine the best on both worlds. The manageable size of the ball with the personality of the boa.
I don't think that all pythons are as beautiful as a reticulated python. There size is of course the amazing part of them but having 3 retics I love them the most. They have such beautiful patterns and mine are all rescue but I lucked out my 15 ft girl I'd basically the most calm and sweet animal I met. She let's me do anything to he she is massive but she regularly escapes her enclosure but she knows her way back into her home when she is ready to come back in to warm up. I just love all of my reticulated pythons. Also my ivory Burmese is such a tame and adorable puppy dog. The only time he fussing is when he's in shed. Unfortunately he isn't a good shedding snake , I have to basically wait till his eyes clear up soak him for about a hour and help him shed his skin. Other then that he has come so far from being in a rack system and burn market never touched , now he loves human content human touch and loves chin scratches. He's such a amazing python as well. I love all snakes I have 2 Boas a Burm and 3 Reticulated pythons that are all so different in personality but I love them all in there own way.
I just recently tried to purchase a jungle jag from Gopheryourpets Joseph Champlin in Houston, but he took my money kept promising to send it for over a month but never did deliver. Can you please do a ball python vs Dumerils boa?
That’s a great idea

I'm still in the market for a Carpet python and am out $277.00. I wish there were something I could do, I'm just afraid he's ripping other people off as well. Love your channel, you have some beautiful animals, do you have any carpets for sell I have a setup sitting there waiting.
