As string of a character as Queen Stephanie was, she was so pathetically weak when it came to Eric. I will never understand why the writers made this strong woman continue to want Eric no matter what. Eric was always in heat and Stephanie was done with that part of her life even at this point. We viewers rarely saw any passion between Steric. She died as his BFF.
She invested so much into the relationship so I understood the weakness. However, she should have moved on with someone else to save herself all of the turmoil.
I feel the writers got her character really wrong in this constant weakness for Eric. And actually, she wasn't done with romance, intimatcy or sex at this point in her life, that happened way later (more around after their second divorce in earlier 2000er). She still wanted that with him. But he was the very cold and mean one at this time. I hated that the writer turned her in this devoted (ex) wife and mother to this disgusting fools eric and rigde who brought and kept these sluts, lunatics and bimbos into the family. They constantly expect from her to just take it and accept every new wife into the family. She was strong and vulnerable at the the time. Eric and rigde are just weak disgusting egotistical self-serving delusional jerks. Like father like son. That's why I always thought rigde is never Massimos son. He is just like Eric - a little fuckboy. Massimo was a man and not weak. He had its loyalties straight. The women in this family should run from these two cowards. Stephanie, Taylor and steffy faits are sadly the same. Loyal and devoted to their families by default.
