As a 5 year veteran of War Thunder and a Word Bearer of the Great Snail, I can confirm this is an accurate depiction of the War Thunder grind. I haven’t even unlocked my first jet.

War Thunder is the most polarized gaming experience I've ever had. When it's good, it's great. When it's bad, I want to throw myself into a wood chipper... I love this game. I hate it. I'm having fun. I'd rather staple my shirt to my torso than play it. Seriously though, it's a really fun if sometimes frustrating game, and the grind is unreal. But once I gave up on actually trying to grind and just played a game or two a day for fun, I really started to enjoy it a lot more. Getting to 3.7 doesn't take a long time and it's an absolute blast, especially on Germany and USSR- that's when you get things like Pz.IV H or KV-1 and 2.
As Grimaldus once said get on your grind (also Warthunder player with 2500HRs be prepared for at least a solid year of grinding without premium before unlocking 11.3br jets)
For a time my love hate was Overwatch. I was taking a break during the whole Blizchung incident, and that's how I never came back. The other game I have issues with is Warframe, butt nearly as bad, so I keep playing. Also, surprisingly good community for an online game. It probably helps that the PVP is basically dead and it's mostly co-op PVE.

and this is just the aircraft mode. if u really want to experience the i hate this game aspect than play tanks
