    so...yeah. i could try to understand the UML specification, some several hundreds of pages, some of them just beeing boilerplate, some of them contradicting each other, and at last be a somewhat pro in UML diagrams...
    or i could just spend 8 minutes of my life watching your video and would know all i REALLY need to know.
    thank you so much for explaining in a simple fashion and saving me time and nerves.

    I've seen and taken the notes of all of the UML Tutorials you provided. Quite frankly, you've taught me UML to the most Advanced level. Thanks a ton for that Derek. You're a butt saver. With this amount of knowledge, I'm going to ace my Object Oriented System Design(OOSD) External Lab Examination.

    Much of what I make videos on I learned many years ago. In the real world I have to make much more complicated stuff that requires me to do high level math. I use all of this stuff very often in my work. I do however very much love to learn new things :)

    Since I have worked in the software Industry more then two years. I realized how important the language like UML is. Because the communication between engineers are really hard (cost). So please extend this tutorial serial if possible (more in detail / more topics etc). Thanks!

    I am really thankful man you save me a lot of time reading books about UML its my first experience with UML Diagrams ,I am going to implement it into a big project,also what about "Interaction Overview Diagram" and "Profile Diagram" can you add these two to your tutorial :)

    I have a question. If I wanted to depict the directory structure of the system (such as an operating system or a web application), which type of diagram would I use? Would I simply just diagram it?

    I'm sure they are wrong. I can spot errors in most people who don't speak English as well. I have only ever spoken German and learned to read Chinese :)

      Visual Paradigm is pretty much considered the best, but it is rather expensive. For team projects I normally end up using whiteboards

    Just a quick question if anyone can answer. I've seen some deployment diagrams with multiplicity on the protocol such as 1..* to 1. Any care to explain if this is supposed to work the same way as multiplicity on class diagrams etc or differently?

    OMG!!! What is it with you Americans!? And more importantly you schools? Schema, schematics... all Greek - not German - so they are pronounced with K sound. Thus skema and skematics. There is no she in schema.
