so...yeah. i could try to understand the UML specification, some several hundreds of pages, some of them just beeing boilerplate, some of them contradicting each other, and at last be a somewhat pro in UML diagrams... or i could just spend 8 minutes of my life watching your video and would know all i REALLY need to know. thank you so much for explaining in a simple fashion and saving me time and nerves.
Thank you :) I'm glad you enjoy it. I also continue with this topic in my Object Oriented Design tutorial. For some reason I always considered this topic to be very interesting.
I've seen and taken the notes of all of the UML Tutorials you provided. Quite frankly, you've taught me UML to the most Advanced level. Thanks a ton for that Derek. You're a butt saver. With this amount of knowledge, I'm going to ace my Object Oriented System Design(OOSD) External Lab Examination.
i am learning Enterprise architect and your videos are the best thing that i could ever ask for. you are a genius and an awesome person to share your knowledge with such ease and compassion... i hope you will keep doing it :)
Hi Andi, I'll put that topic on the list, but to be honest I need to brush up a bit on those topics first. I still can't believe people all over the world watch my videos :)
Much of what I make videos on I learned many years ago. In the real world I have to make much more complicated stuff that requires me to do high level math. I use all of this stuff very often in my work. I do however very much love to learn new things :)
Hello Derek, With such a wide variety of tutorials you provide on youtube, i think youtube should think of standardising 'derek banas' certification program so that people place this certification for their jobs.
Hi Derek..! Its just great style of teaching you got and so precise. I learned all the UML diagrams just because of you. Now I can talk abt UML diagrams with so much confidence. Thank you very much.
Since I have worked in the software Industry more then two years. I realized how important the language like UML is. Because the communication between engineers are really hard (cost). So please extend this tutorial serial if possible (more in detail / more topics etc). Thanks!
I am really thankful man you save me a lot of time reading books about UML its my first experience with UML Diagrams ,I am going to implement it into a big project, also what about "Interaction Overview Diagram" and "Profile Diagram" can you add these two to your tutorial :)
Thank you so much for these videos. I have watched all of your UML videos! :) I have a question. If I wanted to depict the directory structure of the system (such as an operating system or a web application), which type of diagram would I use? Would I simply just diagram it?
Hi @derekbanas I have a question can we consider Application as an > because I want to make a very high level deployment diagram and I don't want to show it in breakdown component form
I'm sure they are wrong. I can spot errors in most people who don't speak English as well. I have only ever spoken German and learned to read Chinese :) Я уверен, что они не правы. Я могу обнаружить ошибки в большинство людей, которые не говорят на английском языке. Я только никогда не говорил немецкий и научился читать по-китайски :)
Hey Derek, I was wondering if you can do some videos about Network Security& Cryptography. I like the way you explain the topic and I find ti very helpful. Please, keep up the great work! Greeting from Albania :-) Andi
Just a quick question if anyone can answer. I've seen some deployment diagrams with multiplicity on the protocol such as 1..* to 1. Any care to explain if this is supposed to work the same way as multiplicity on class diagrams etc or differently?
I find it's amazing how much you know, you're like a junkie addicted to learning. Just out of interest do you apply your knowledge to anything else rather than teaching?
OMG!!! What is it with you Americans!? And more importantly you schools? Schema, schematics... all Greek - not German - so they are pronounced with K sound. Thus skema and skematics. There is no she in schema.
this hero has been helping me during my career, your explanations and tutorials are fairly illustrative, break a leg with your next videos!

I'm very happy to hear that :) you have no idea how gratifying it is to be able to help so many people. You're very welcome and thank you!

You're very welcome :) I'm very happy you enjoyed them. I would just diagram the the directory in a format that people would recognize like a tree
You explained way better than my university professors, subscribed.

Hey, Derek. What about other types of UML diagrams? Cuz there are 14, but you have only 9. Are you going to continue?
This is basically everything I ever used. I have an object oriented design and design patterns tutorial as well.
@@derekbanas Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately in university we need to make 14 types. But I understand that these are most common.
Awesome video
Thank you :)
I book marked this video as its very useful
Thank you very much :)
So Helpful thank you
Thank you :)
u sound more like Jason Sudekis than Helms. Anyways great video tutorial. Thanks!
***** That's funny :) Thank you
if we are running something on a browser ...do we place a browser device node in the execution environment?
Very much helpful!! thank you so much Derek \m/ :)
You're very welcome :)
Very neat. Thanks.
You're very welcome :)
where is the later tutorial of real world example it says at the end?
Day Vince I think I was referring to the first 2 videos here Object Oriented Design or just the rest of the videos in this series
Derek Banas All right, thank you~
what software is the best to create UML? I'm using StarUML now.
Visual Paradigm is pretty much considered the best, but it is rather expensive. For team projects I normally end up using whiteboards
wow this is awesome
Thank you very much :)

Does anyone else thing that Derek Banas sounds a look like Ed Helms from the office?
Привет тренер,

Да уж, грамматика этих переводчиков ещё очень даже далеко от совершенства, xD смешно, а я ведь думал что вы мужчина Дерек, "Я очень рад(а)"

Sorry my schools stunk so I had to learn everything from books
