It allows for a 2D drawing to be transformed into a 3D puppet. This isn't very impressive for 3D animation, the puppets don't work well in 3D space, but it opens the doors for extremely easy 2D animation. It's very user-friendly too, especially compared to other animation platforms people have started their animation careers on like Flash. Let me put it this way. Imagine you have a kid who is interested in making animations. Sit them down in front of this and they can figure out how to play with the puppet to make it move. I actually commented a possible short when thinking about the possibilities of the program....i'll paste my comment below. I hope you like this idea: i kinda almost wonder if this could be used in presentations for things such as engines, like all the moving parts. For example pistons, crank shaft, cam shaft, pulleys, gears and belts, or if maybe you could say....create a scene where a man and a woman are driving in a car, it starts very cartoonishly coughing and bouncing (like in old merrie melodies films) and sputters to a stop, the man walks over to open the hood and the engine jumps out and bounces out of sight (exit stage right). I think at the very least it would be AT LEAST mildly amusing to outrageously hilarious to see the outcome in such an unrefined program. No doubt it would be wonky, but I think that kind of lends to the beauty of it. Anyway, I'm sure whatever everyone comes up with, or what you come up with Jazza, will be fantastic. Happy drawing!
