You have no idea how refreshing it is to see a complete new player play this. Most of us hardcore players are jaded machines just grinding and grinding, so seeing it from that very fresh perspective through you is very interesting. Please make more!
When hardcore came out I convinced my 2 friends who have never played WoW before to try it, we all ended up getting to 60 :D Took a few characters though lol Also you should have played on the anniversary hardcore servers, thats where everyone else is!!
Always remember, "Caves and Waves make Graves." Avoid cave quests, ALWAYS avoid underwater quests especially ones involving shipwrecks. Don't be afraid to just grind mobs for a few levels until quests look more managable. And the Forsaken ironically have some of the best advice on living: "Remember! Patience, discipline!"

Top 3 addons to use for classic :) 1. Questie (will put icons on the map of where to go for said quest) 2. Letrix plus (has qol features inside) 3. Letrix maps (makes the map 1000000x easy to read and doesnt fullscreen/can ajust to your liking of size and position)
I skipped pretty much all caves. BTW, there are plenty of areas where there is a much stronger mob/pack patrolling and if you don't pay attention they can easily kill you. I used an add-on to warn me if I was near one. The Deathlog add-on lets you know when people die and it can show the deadliest areas on a map. Also, you can see which are the deadliest mobs. I don't know about retail, but Classic is the kind of game where you need add-ons and looking up things online to progress efficiently (or at least with even a bare minimum of efficiency).
Man this was an excellent video and I think you did a wonderful job explaining and telling a story of the experience of hardcore to the average/new player. It really is challenging considering one mob can kill you , in this case a level 9 vulture
May be an unpopular opinion but Tauren + Warrior is probably the most difficult class/race combination to pick for hardcore. Huge starting zone with a minefield of mobs, and warriors have very little in terms of ways to escape. I'd say Priest, Warlocks, and Hunters are really good ranged classes for hardcore. Especially after level 10. Priests get a shield and Warlocks/Hunters get a pet to help attack mobs. Mages are great too, but very squishy at early levels. If you insist on doing caves, bring a healer friend with you. Otherwise avoid. Especially in Redridge and Darkshore.
Today I lost my level 8 hardcore mage while collecting Kelp in Elwynn Forest. Been playing since 2005, so not a noob. But I am stupid! Got cocky and died to one of those Murloc patrols. Restart again.
hahah me and my friend died to those same murlocks, him being a warrior and me a priest. All because we felt invincible with Rallying Cry of the Dragonslayer and pulled like 8 murlocks 🤤
Addons! Addons! Addons! Get immersion, it makes quest reading much more immersive and easier!!! Thats the key to getting into WoW. From yours truly: a year old wow player

There's too many danger to list them in one post so I'll just say this. Death often come when you are finally confident and relax. So keep on feeding your paranoïa will increase your chance to live. Also, get first aid and some healing potion.
Hey, idk if you say about it further in video but, you can make the game much easier by addons, they can show you wher is location of quests dps meters better map and some even tell you definetly how to play, but i dont recomend useing them, it ruins the expirience :)

@@Prodzick I ll have to disagree on that one especially in the early lvl. Shamans have heal, intentation burst spells, slow and target dummy totem. For a new player shaman is defenitivly better. The shamans fall off pretty bad passed lvl 40 but at that point you 150 hour in your character you should be able to reach 60

I was really supprised when i discovered this stat. It all depends what someone who is consider a success since running Shaman is one of the most fun class to run in wow classic hc or not.

T1 isn't your average new player If he could get challenger in league on the 5 roles on koreen server this challenge is a joke to him. Most new player won't gather intel, won't read detail classes, leveling and dungeon guide. Most new player won't have the nerve to handle proprely tricky situation or have the danger awarness. Tyler1 is a chad gamer and really isn't representatif of what a noob leveling grind would be

If someone has zero playtime in the game, they're not going to automatically know that warriors are the most difficult to level, even if he did search what the easiest class is, which is warlock. Many new players even on softcore realms will start with a warrior. Doesn't mean that his experience was faked

My first HC char, a Human Mage, died at lvl 4, embarrasingly enough. I am now running a Dwarf Priest at lvl 13, still going strong.

I'm a first time wow player... took a few deaths but I now have a 60 on Defias and am working on grinding another 60 on the new server.

hunter is by far the easiest class to get 60 warrior is arguably the hardest lol

Biggest tip i can ever give a gamer is to always check out the settings options when you start a new game.
The use of the chasm music for the caves was a brilliant touch

warriors are not the most difficult. U just need to grind gold a bit and get good gear.
