      Yes, that was my favorite Spurs championship as well! The Spurs defeated the defending champion Pistons in seven games in an ultra-competitive series. Duncan won his third Finals MVP. Horry came through to clinch Game 5 on the road in a hostile Detroit environment. 2005 had a classic matchup of two defending NBA champion teams from 2003 (Spurs) and 2004 (Pistons). Both teams were still pretty young in age as well. Definitely a classic series! I was walking on air as a Spurs fan after Robert Horry scored that game-winning three-pointer with his bad shoulder at the end of Game 5!

    Thing is you wanna trap somebody in the corner. Sheed did right, Ginobili just made basically the only play he could which was the pass to Rob. The only reason anybody says it was a bad idea is because Robert hit the shot. Robert Horry missed that same shot vs the Spurs in 2003 with the Lakers.

    • @QuestionEverything562
      @QuestionEverything562 7 месяцев назад +1

      I don't think you understood the scoreboard situation there. You act as if the Pistons needed to trap Ginobli in the "coffin corner" to get the ball back when they were the team that was up by two points at that moment (95-93). It was a very dim and unnecessary play by Rasheed Wallace. You don't need to double or trap a player if your team is up already, that just inevitably leaves a man open. The Spurs won on that clutch shot by Horry. Horry is one of the greatest wide open pressure shooters ever.
