- The Israeli military says Hamas has launched more than 6,000 rockets in the last 10 days, most of which have been intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome defense system. Many consider it to be the world’s best defense against missiles and rockets. NBC News’ Tom Llamas reports on how it works.

@@sinabagherisarvestani8924that is a rocket too made by plastic pipes, that can't detect by the iron dome, because iron dome only detect metalic rocket. 1 iron dome can't catch 500 rockets impossible for that but if you had 3000 iron dome in Israel it's so safe to rockets but the problem is how pricey is that.

In 4 hours from the start of the war, 4000 rockets were fired from Gaza, meaning 1000 rockets per hour, less than 400 rockets fell in Israel. I live in Israel. And I can tell you that the system has intercepted tens of thousands of rockets since the beginning of the war

The iron dome intercepted more than 90% of hamas rockets proof for this is sattelite photos show essentially no damage to areas targeted and those that pass through land in unpopulated areas

I don't think a rocket with this destruction power has capability to take down that hospital.
The hospital is not destroyed. It was all a lie. The failed hamas rocket only hit the parking lot.
The hospital is standing it was a parking lot check out the footage.
And it didn't. It took out a small diameter of the parking lot of the hospital.
It was a Mark 84 bomb used.
The images of the hospital parking lot blast tell you it's a very weak blast. Most of the cars burned but some still had its windshield intact. which tells you the failed Hamas rocket doesn't have enough energy shockwave to destroy a windshield. Even light materials like a nearby bedsheet and plants didn't even take damage.
I'd like to add a worth-understanding point:
If it weren't for the Iron Dome - we would certainly have lots of casualties. But the thing is: it's been stopping us from going into Gaza and devastate it. that war we're having now is a whole different thing than what we're used to. Yes, sadly, we are definitely used to terrorist attacks (stabbing, suicide-attacks on buses, rifles around cities etc.), but what happened on October 7th, 1500 murdered and 200 kidnapped citizens? that's a whole different level. And that's why, that's exactly why, we can't stop ourselves from entering Gaza, because that will happen again. It's not about rockets anymore.
I'm glad we have the Iron Dome nonetheless. Our brilliant minds...
But the thing is: it's been stopping us from going into Gaza and devastate it and smashing hospitals and unarmed children. @herrhyde Good on you, oh brilliant minds.

I am from Turkey and it is a fact that Hamas made a mistake, Hamas started the war. I am heartbroken that Hamas bombed young people's parties, massacred civilians, raided houses and killed people. Hamas made a mistake and must pay the price. Israel is right.

Nope, simply not true. It was a misfired rocket, there are multiple videos of it, analysis upon analysis from multiple media organizations, including those who blamed Israel at first, all concluding, however reluctantly, it was a rocket that malfunctioned just after launch by Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Had it actually been Israel, it would have been either a JDAM or 155mm Artillery, both of which create significantly different battle damage, including a much deeper crater, little to no primary deflagration, so on. That a UN observer may have claimed it was a helicopter or drone strike is a testament to how ignorant they are regarding military matters. I've been on the receiving end of both rockets and mortars, including (luckily for me) malfunctioning 122mm rockets on 2 different occasions that hit my barracks in Baghdad, Iraq, wounded by a 60mm mortar in the leg on another occasion.
There are many other instances of Israel employing excessive force, this simply is not one of them. However, if you think Hamas and others don't attack their own people intentionally, you're sadly mistaken.

Does anyone want to explain to me why Isreal is attacking a country that doesnt even have a military army? To call this a war insinuates that each side has a potential opportunity to win against the other. This is not a war. This is a genocide, for political gain and resouces. No different than past historical atrocities. And somehow the the side with the least amount of resouces, military power, technology and support---the side that is the least vulnerable and on the verge of being extinct--is the enemy. Does 1+1 still equal 2? Because the math of the majority is not making any sense.
