A bit of inside info: we breathe while we beatbox.
We use sounds that involve breathing in and out to make sure we don't pass out, but you might also hear the breaths in between. Sometimes the music is so captivating that you don't even hear it.

That 2021 DLow SBX Winner's Compilation was my introduction to the whole modern beatbox scene. The compilation plays like an EP, IMO.
Just some insider info if you guys react to it: there's a round where D-Low says, "...but I'm also a looper...". Although it looks like it, he's not actually using the looper; he's dunking on his opponent who tried to do the same trick, but D-Low does it better and has more simultaneous polyrhythms going at the same time with just his skills (plus it would be illegal to actually use a loopstation in a solo round).
Btw the guy reacting with faces in the crowd is BBK and he is actually a beatboxer
I remember when I first saw this I was blown away but Ngl, beatboxing in 4 years has improved SOOOOOO much.
I was a little nervous for guy when you picked 2019 just because I don't really love those first elimination rounds, but we got there. All love to dude for getting lit up in the comments and still coming back for more. Best to you all.
Just an FYI. The dude you said “looks like he wants to punch him in his face” in the beginning is the beatboxer “Collapse” (hence all the collapse references from D-Low). They’re actually great friends and he’s an awesome beatboxer as well
