Your programs are excellent and very helpful - and refreshingly low key. I tend to binge watch a ton of videos when I’m deciding on a purchase from a crowded field unfamiliar to me, and I was finally able to make a decision after going through your playlists. Thanks!
Hey Josh, thanks for all the great videos! I've only recently got into your content, and I find it very valuable. I've got a specific question about the City Sling 2. I'm looking to get a new everyday sling, but it needs to be able to fit my Kindle Paperwhite (11th gen). Do you know if one of these would easily fit inside the City Sling 2?
As long as the case isn’t really bulky or something it should fit! My wife has an 11th gen, it’s toward the size limit but still zips up without any issues.
Great review. Aer are doing a great job - I like where they're going refining their designs and maintaining top quality materials and build quality... I fear my collection will grow a bit more... :-) Personally I like the sternum strap, it is something I miss on my aer flight pack and I like the design of the back, my Xpack Flight Pack gets too sweaty for longer city walks...
I have a few xpac bags but haven’t tried AER’s before, love that 1680d they use on the rest of the lineup. I definitely can see the benefits of the sternum straps even though I mainly only use them for outdoor backpacking. You’ll love this one though, make some space! Haha.
Great, looks like I’m going to be buying another bag! Lol. I’ve used both the version 1 and version 2 of the Aer Day Pack. I really enjoyed them, but they are a little large considering the way the organization layout is done. This seems like a much slimmer option to carry the same stuff.
@@joshfenn That’s awesome. I’m also eyeing that gray color. All the other bags I’ve had from them have always just come in black. Which looks great too, but that gray option looks really sharp. Thanks Josh!
How are you liking the Larq movement? Just got one myself. Any issues with lack of insulation? Being summer now would be the time to test it haha great video as always brotha
@@joshfenn same. Using it for random tap water and water fountains, just need to wait 1min but that’s fine for me. Love the shape, fits in a lot of pockets nicely however the silicon sleeve can make it tough sometimes.
Memo bottle love mine. I have the A 6 and the beauty of it is that it fits in the back pocket of my jeans. No leakage yet for me but I don’t carry it in a bag. Does look a bit like a hip flask though.
Similar to the tech pack? Nobody seems to realize that this is basically the next version of the flight pack 2. Same exact design with better back and no ability to use it as a shoulder bag.
I'm trying to decide between the Wandrd D1 and the AER Day Sling 2. I prefer the design of the Day Sling 2 but I've seen a few reviews where people say the Fidlock magnetic buckle is uncomfortable around the neck. I contacted AER and they suggested wearing it over clothes but that's not always possible, especially when wearing a short-sleeve shirt or tank top on a hot day. Has anyone here had any issues with this?
I personally haven’t had any issues with this on the city sling, the buckle falls on my chest so it doesn’t really rub on my neck at all. Hope this helps!
The rennen has a bit more of a ‘traditional’ type of aesthetic versus this one been a bit more city/tech. A bit more organization in this compared to the rennen, but depending on your needs/aesthetic preference they’ve both excellent.
I’ve got the able carry daybreaker but not the daily so I can’t do a full proper comparison just yet. Might be able to pick one up sometime soon though to check out! Initial impressions though id say the main difference is just the tech-focused style from AER vs the looser structure more traditional style/look from able carry. Probably wouldn’t go wrong either way, I love both brands, but it’s mainly down to style and organization preference id say.
Comfort probably is a lot of personal preference, but the AER backpacks are consistently the most comfortable bags I test and own. Tough to compare since I don’t have both but the city pack is extremely comfortable in my experience
I used to use a memo bottle and it worked well for me. I only stopped using it because it looked a little too flask-like for me, as if I was drinking straight vodka or something. 😂
Funny how so many youtuber is reviewing this bag right now :-D Funny how they send these bags for free for so RUclipsrs for no reason. I wonder how many times they will send their product to these same RUclipsrs if they do not positive review of their products...
I doubt it is so sinister, rather they knew already who would like their items and shipped whatever amount their marketing budget allowed to those people. Bellroy has admitted to watching their reviews in videos and I'm sure everyone else does too, they would be dumb not to. And we would be dumb to only watch only one review, even things as silly as Rushfaster's 'beer bottle capacity test' are useful information.
They probably wouldn’t send bags to someone that doesn’t like them, but I definitely wouldn’t want a bag if I hated it. I turn down so many bags that seem sub-par and don’t have any incentive to talk about (or receive) gear I don’t like with so many great options out there. 👍

Always appreciate your reviews on Aer products! Thank you! Your style has inspired me to be a minimalist
Thanks for the support and enjoy your entry into minimalism, it’s a rewarding journey!
Fantastic review as always Josh, thank you, I really like this.

@@joshfenn Thank you!!
Great video, i was wondering if you could use it for a week end travel with some change clothes ?
If you pack light it’ll definitely work!
I use an A6 Memobottle for my sling bag and it works great. Never leaked on me, and it fits perfectly well in a sling.
Glad to hear it, thanks for letting me know!
Would you say the pack’s water bottle pocket could hold a 32 oz ?
The wider 32oz bottles are a tight fit but will work in a pinch, but the narrower/taller 32oz bottles fit well. Hope this helps!

Very nice review. I think you should do some short video or just normal video of your backpacks loadout.
I’ve done a few and will definitely do more, stay tuned!
Regarding water bottles, I have a collapsible 500ml bottle that fits perfectly in the split pocket of the City Sling.
What brand if I can ask? Been checking into collapsible bottles but so many have such mixed reviews.

Memo bottle works perfect for me. Daily carry it to work and in my day sling 2. Never had an issue.
Stainless steel version is coming 🤩
@@user-tu5tm6kn6k Backed on Kickstarter! Thanks for the heads up! 👌🏽
What size memo bottle do you use in your day sling 2?
@@bnguy A7. Flask size. You could probably fit the A6 but you wouldn’t be able to fit much else.
Thanks for letting me know!
Thanks for the video Josh!
Happy to share!

Been loving it! Don’t mind the lack of insulation, but knowing there isn’t any I typically just use it with room temp water to avoid the sweating.

@ 0:37 what are those black hanging lights in the background? I'd love to have some!
I’ll try and find the link to them and update,
But they’re just generic pendant lights, pretty inexpensive and widely available if you’re interested!

Definitely similar to the flight pack too 👍
Nice video bro
Thanks!

Try memobottles! They r designed to sit flat so u can put them in most bags
Heard some good feedback on this video for them, might have to pick one up!

The rennen has a bit more of a ‘traditional’ type of aesthetic versus this one been a bit more city/tech. A bit more organization in this compared to the rennen, but depending on your needs/aesthetic preference they’ve both excellent.

I have the A5 memo bottle. It looks really nice, but honestly, I find the quality a little lacking for the price point. The plastic feels cheap to me.
Appreciate you sharing the feedback! Heard they were releasing metal versions, maybe I’ll check into those.
where is the coupon code?
This videos a bit old at this point, I don’t think I have any active codes available
Does it stand on its own when loaded?
Mostly, but not fully. If the weight is distributed well though it’s usually pretty solid.
Maybe the new bellroy venture sling is a better option for you
I’ll check it out, thanks for the tip!
The x pac ver have the water proof zippers on top
Thanks for letting me know! Just got the new travel pack in xpac and love it.
