I love watching this. The fellow who was in the white (when the show was in Vancouver) was so cute because he blew kisses to everyone at the end and waved. He looked so serious then he became super friendly. We only had one girl flier, but she was not as tall as these two. Kudos to all of them because it takes an entire team to make this work as beautifully as it does.
There are two versions of this song on two different CDs. The first version is called "Misere" and it can be found on the extended Quidam soundtrack. The second version is called "Banquine" and it can be found a completely different CD called "Journey of Man".
Oh my God, when I'm older I want to be one of the two girls in this act!!!!! Still....I have A LOT to go before i'm even half as good as they are!! So amazing!
i've always followed the old fashion rule that standing ovations are meant for performances that are truly spectacular, not as a formality after every performance. i really think that this would deserve a standing ovation.
@thedrunkspandas The song is called "Misère." It's on the extended Quidam soundtrack. You can also find this song on another Cirque du Soleil album called "Journey of Man." On that CD, this song is labeled as "Banquine."
I cant Believe my eyes! Some of this seems impossible! truly a spectacular performance! Got to go to their show when they come around cleveland again! They make all this seem so easy, they must have started doing this since they were kids.
cirque du soleil is the only thing in the world that can convince you that just jumping off of one persons shoulders isn't very high :D it's just incredible, these people are so very, very, very special and truly talented.
@GregTheWhat This song can be found on two different soundtracks: the special, extended Quidam CD under the name "Misere" or on another, completely different soundtrack called "Journey of Man" (track 10) under the name "Banquine".
omg! these guys might have to dedicate all the soul, the spirit, the heart, all their lives to realize such things, just trainning all the time! that's too hard, and indeed, amazing! I even dare myself to imagine doing, practising, things like this! wow!
I just saw this in Windsor, Ontario a few hours ago. Amazing! At 6:43 though, in the show I saw, it was one of the little girls who they threw up. I was freaking out! How old are they? There were two at the one I saw, and I swear, one of them looked like she was five years old!
@stefaniewylie That's the acting part of our performance... What makes a circus performer a good actor is how easy they can make their routines look. I guess you could call it physical acting :o)
@deidaraismine4evr Yup, Oleg and Tatiana at 4:10 and 4:50. They performed the acrobatic pas de deux. There are also two other people from Quidam who went into Varekai: John Gilkey (the skywatcher) and Olga Pikhienko (the handbalancer). All four of them appear on the Varekai DVD but none of them work in that show anymore.
I watch this and all I can think about is how Olympic gymnasts have a hard time sticking their landing..............that wouldn't end well here. These guys are incredible.....it blows my mind.
you know whats totally underrated in this video? the pain those two guys feel at 1:53 after they jump down...that is a huge fall to just land directly on your feet without stumbling
@izzih1234 Last I heard, Tatyana had to leave due to an injury. Oleg and a new partner were moved to the show Corteo. That was a year ago or so, can't say if they're still there.
I hear you. CHEER leading has an explosive element to it to get people amped/riled up. I'm pretty sure if every co-ed stunting cheer team strength trained as supposed to power trained they could do this.
in a way, the begining bit is similar to that of chear leading except. it has stunnin grace and beauty, and control such that its nothing like chearing. if you get me?
I'm guessing it's because you yourself were a flier. I was a base and I totally get what iceskatercharlotte was saying. When bases "Prep" they're gaining momentum in order to throw the flier, where as these guys have no prep at all, literally muscling the "fliers" into the air or holding them otherwise, using their body's "slow-twitch" muscle strength and endurance as supposed to their body's "fast-twitch" power strength.
obsessed. i've seen several cirque shows over the years but this one act always sticks out in my mind, so amazing.
I love watching this.

Beautiful !!!
This part is the BEST of Quidam !! ♥
They must be in an incredible amount of pain after each show!
omg! these guys might have to dedicate all the soul, the spirit, the heart, all their lives to realize such things, just trainning all the time!
that's too hard, and indeed, amazing! I even dare myself to imagine doing, practising, things like this! wow!
They would make the BEST cheerleaders EVER !!! :D
I saw this live in Nashville Wednesday at the bridge stone arena... it was amazing
@edumiro82 The title of the song is Carousel. The act itself is Banquine.
I just saw this in Windsor, Ontario a few hours ago. Amazing! At 6:43 though, in the show I saw, it was one of the little girls who they threw up. I was freaking out! How old are they? There were two at the one I saw, and I swear, one of them looked like she was five years old!
they are coming near my town in April. ^_^ can't wait.
@stefaniewylie

you know whats totally underrated in this video? the pain those two guys feel at 1:53 after they jump down...that is a huge fall to just land directly on your feet without stumbling
@randonification I don't know what happened to Tatiana, but Oleg is now in IRIS in Hollywood. I saw it a week ago. AMAZING.

It's available on CD. I know, because I have it.

@alladinmoua Ah I knew they looked familiar x3
Thanks for answering ^^
@kamenriderrakuen10 thank you so much!
@edumiro82 Yeah, you're right. I had two different videos going when I typed that. :)
the song's not caroussel :-(
the soundtrack is nothing like the actual music from the performances. its really annoying how inconsistent it is. :(
This act calls BANQUINE... not carrousel, take care--...
