Carlo told them lampard should take the first pen so they can secure the league title. Lampard probably told drogba to stick to the plan and he will feed him passes afterwards.
Iirc this game drogba had a lot of misses because all the team just want to fed him assist. He still ended up with a hat trick though. 🤣

If that was the case, why did he give drogba the second penalty?
Who cares about the Golden Boot when The Premier League title is on the line? Obviously the number one penalty taker is going to take the penalties when the score is only 1-0. Later on in the game when Chelsea were winning comfortably Lampard gave Drogba a penalty, and also assisted one of his goals. Lampard handled it very well.
