This was funny, man. Your face when you were doing the tambourine hahaha. I think the strength of ChatGPT for something like this would be to first teach the bot what YOU like, and then ask it to come up with something within those parameters. It's strength is NOT to be creative, but instead complete menial tasks quickly. So if you took the time to explain how John Williams orchestrates for example, it would then be theoretically able to come up with orchestrations that emulate that.
To be fair, the bot definitely meant that the Ebm chord was borrowed from the parallel minor key - it just didn't quite remember the minor indication. Lol
dont know if any of you guys know the game monster hunter. i dont really know why but it sounds like a piece it would play in the background of a village. kind of a village theme vibe. yea its cheesy, but AI could create some good inspiration for writers block
AI and robots will never be able to duplicate what a human being with a soul can do. Let's keep writing our own music. It will be much better I assure you.
To be fair, given all the arrangements, embellishments and overall interpetation you made from its answer, it's more a glorified dice roll than anything else. If you asked it to generate (hopefully usable and syntxically correct) midi data, I'm sure it wouldn't be as interesting as what you did even if you're not satisfied with this composition :)
l’m a strong believer that technology should be a tool to help us composing and it shouldn’t do all the work itself. It still came up with all the core ideas, I simply helped it a bit and put a little of my own flare to it 😁 Embellished or not I feel like this couldn’t be further from my own music
Hi Mattia, I write orchestral music as well (mainly cinematic). Yes, it does get it wrong at times, but the Secret to make it work better is to use "prompts" : Start off your requests using "I want you to act as a orchestral composer. You have many years of experience of composing music composition. ***then fill in a more specific request***... you will be amazed at the returns you receive back (You can go as far as telling chatGPT it composes much like a favorite composer... like James Horner, Hans Zimmer, etc...) The more you tell chatGPT what it is/act like the better the response. I do not use it write all of my music however it helps me to get through points of writer's block or new twists on my B sections.
@@MattiaChiappa Chat GPT sucked, you breathed life into the composition!! Hey, just a thought, but would really love to know more about your practice process and how you stretch your composition skills. perhaps an idea for a future video 🙃
I think it’s a fun tool for some aspects of composing…….. mmm ….. maybe next we will have AI as part of each DAW!!!! Hope not. Thanks again for the video.

Yeah that was pretty much my conclusion, still it was fun to try! Also I don’t think it’s designed for music really
@@MattiaChiappa Agreed :)
Dude, even the BOT is calling your harmony jazz-y. You're a jazz composer 😉😂
In all seriousness, hilarious video man!
Well.. The BOT also put an Ab in a Bb major scale and called Eb a borrowed chord.. Doesn’t seem very knowledgeable to me 😂
To be fair, the bot definitely meant that the Ebm chord was borrowed from the parallel minor key - it just didn't quite remember the minor indication. Lol
Always thought bots where meant to be smart 😅
Hey Mattia, awesome video! Would love to see an in-depth video about extended chords (aka "jazzy chords") sometime!
Imagine an AI assistant integrated inside the DAW in a few years
That would be so cool!
That's gonna be great to help with the technical side of things!
That vid is priceless… For the moment, the bot still needs a knowledgeable assistant…

Imagine what this will do 10 years from now

Let's also remember that AI is program by stupid humans and learn from them!
Exactly. Can't expect it to do everything. But we shouldn't mind it doing the heavy lifting.
@@SFgamer The main problem is that AI will be also use by the military and we all know they are not our friends!
Awesome stuff man! Love the robot voice 🤖
Thanks man 😁

It's a rather interesting formula, but it doesn't touch the master Mattia! You should give lessons to ChatGPT! Bravo
Amazing video!!

Unglaublich, was heute alles möglich ist.
Great video. I think you need to teach chatgpt a few things mattia!
Mattia: this is going to sound cheesy! I didn’t write this so… 😅
Very cheesy indeed 😅

I love it, reminds me of Pat Metheny, a Harmonica would have also been nice.
I love the fact you're are trying hard not to say that (for now) it really sucks! : D
😂
This is so cool
😎
Can it generate the midi?
No, just text
I think it’s a fun tool for some aspects of composing…….. mmm ….. maybe next we will have AI as part of each DAW!!!! Hope not.
Thanks again for the video.
There is NOTHING like the spark of CREATIVITY of ideas that a HUMAN can produce, Mattia. End of sentence.
AI is a joke compare to a being with a soul!
Chat G"P"T :)
Thanks, I keep messing that up
Take care, I made something similar and my fellows composers still considers me as an heretic !😅
🤣🤘🥴
