Do you plan on doing any more videos like these? They're great, I would love to see you explore certain techniques that are commonly used in film to convey emotions/concepts, like fear, romance, or magic!
Very usefull for a beginner composer. Thank you, Mattia. You are my new YT-music teacher, together with Ryan Leach. I learned so much. Just TOP! I understand easily you have so much patreons. You gives us all pure gold information, all for free.
This type of video was absolutely amazing! I can follow along with you perfectly! I would pay good money for a bunch of videos like this that explore different techniques and go through the process step by step!
@@MattiaChiappa I wanted to ask you about “Happy Birthday Variations” by the now 90 year old John Williams. During the piece WWinds take on the theme. I’m not sure how it is written though but it sounds really good. Possibly cluster jazz Voicings that leave the melody clear of the lower cluster colours or Maj 2nds ……. Or combinations with closed 4th. Or all of the above. Best Peter. The printed score is available however, I haven’t seen it yet.
Awesome Video covering Exactly the levels I went through on my composing journey as well. Thanks for refreshing my memory🔥🙌🙌 made it as far as polychords. found it quite difficult in the beginning but as I went through learning different genres like Gospel and Jazz, it really changed my perspective on those dissonances.
I love every single video...! Really, keep it up. Could you do a really classical approach like "making music in the style of Bach" or smth like that? I think we can learn from the big geniuses, right?
Great video as always Mattia. Thanks to you I've been able to fill up my musical toolbox. Also how are you overlaying the keyboard like that? Is that something in logic or some other software?
I love polychords I loved them since I was a kid and first heard star wars and Holst Planets. Stravinsky s opening of the second act of the right of spring is mind blowing. I dont know what it is though just that its poly chordal
I created an extra vln patch by MiDi transposing within Kontakt to access a different sample pool then transpose back with a modifier to play the correct pitch. I use the same process to create extra solo instruments.

Yeah maybe, let’s see how this one goes but I’d love to do more videos on specific moods

Nice overview

It’s a free software

First! 😎This reminded me to work more on my polychord experience. It's definitely a nice tool, especially for film/game music.
Oh yeah, quite a specific tool but useful at times!
Great lesson. CSS?
Great work Mattia - some lovely examples there!
Thanks Richard!
Great video. I saw a track "CSS Violins div" in the template. Any advice how to achieve a divisi with CSS?

@@MattiaChiappa Thank you very much.
Great polychord textures, wish complex harmony was more present in modern film scoring
Thanks!
🔥🔥🔥
😁😁😁

Is your course more or less structured like this?
My course doesn’t have much to do with these videos. You can see the table of content on the page 😁
I suck at making melodies, help!
Melodies are hard, give it time
Nice, thanks a lot, clear and useful concepts
