It’s always good when you find a vid that’s not been posted to my feed.
    You feel special.

It doesn’t show up in my subs page, either. Hopefully it’s a glitch from two videos released at the same time, rather than YT introducing intentional unreliability into the sub feed again.

It used to be that NPCs on KLEG would put on a pressure suit and wear it around until it ran out of air and they asphyxiated. As a result, there'd be dead bodies all over the station. It's a bug that plagued the game for years. I'm not surprised that the devs finally "fixed" it by simply making them not asphyxiate.

I’m disappointed that you didn’t enjoy this game, but it’s definitely not for everyone. The learning curve and grind at the start are pretty steep and honestly I spent a good chunk of time reading the manual before ever starting a run. That said, once you get into the loop it can be rather fun, especially with a couple of QoL mods added in. But I’m glad you gave it a try, it’s a bit of a departure from what you usually stream and it was nice to see!

It left me with a similar feeling to when I tried From the Depths, one of 'yeah, there's probably something here, but I'm not in any mood to slog through what I need to in order to find it, and not sure when I'll be in that mood'. That feeling kinda matches with what you're saying too

Ive been playing since the earliest alpha and go back every patch, its def a game where you are either sold immediately or you will just never come around to, it's built to be harsh and unforgiving, in many ways it's a pseudo sequel to neo scavenger; their other game (and takes place in the same universe). Glad you gave it a fair shot, if anyone reading is on the fence, go to the forums, ask questions and watch vids to learn before you get it, it will save you tons of effort, and remember this is a game where its ok (expected early on, that you will probably die)

After watching this, i'm certain you'd be having much more fun if you learned more of the game mechanics etc. This game kind of requires you to spend a lot of time to learn it and get immersed in it. Tutorials are still far from new player friendly - and that's when they have been improved and worked on already!
The gritty "starting with nothing" / "zero to self-made" nature of this game has me hooked. Also the fact it's a lot about player skill as well - figuring out what items to pick up from derelicts, expanding your own ship to make more room and absolutely the fiddling around trying to figure out how the reactor works.
But like you say, it's not for everyone - not even for "most people". I just wish they had a better introduction that didn't turn off many players before they get to the fun parts, like i feel this one did to you here 😅

I installed and start playing... what's so hard about this game 😁 the only thing I read was the reactor manual on how to set it up and run it.
Oohh ok one thing that's hard is how to figure out which foot the shoe goes on, why they get blisters, and no one talks about it on forums. watch the pain bar when you put the boot on, if it's on the wrong foot it will bump up a bit

next run, do some adventures at the start, make sure you start with some more money (5k+) and you can get some skills from it(i try to get some hacking skills), if you use the tram theres a better seller to be found in other parts of the station. he just takes a bit of effort to unlock thats up to you, you can make contacts while seeking adventure to help you get better contacts later on. tried to give tno spoils, hope this helps

I like this game a lot.
Guess there is 2 type of people: who like star wars, star gate, star track, firefly movies, and those who like apollo 13, the martian etc, and this game close to later.

This gives me the same feeling as the Traveller TTRPG. Not for everyone, great fun for those who are into it.

Yeah, I think that kinda hits the right idea. I can tell that the game is competent at doing what it's trying to do, but what it's trying to do isn't for me right now.

Why is everyone suddenly playing Ostranauts? Is there like a big update or something?

Ostranauts is such a thoroughly frustrating game, it's got all the features and flavor that I've ever wanted from a space sim but the gameplay is so obtuse it's very frustrating to learn and play. Rimworld with spacecraft mods (Save our Ship 2 specifically) is a much more playable experience that keeps most of the granularity of crew management and ship design.

frustrating to learn😆 really frustrating is when you got lag spike every 5 sec ( If your ship is bigger than station) and after lag spike there is autosave stop LOL

The game that left me feeling similarly was From the Depths, I feel like there's a game there that I could enjoy, but wow am I not ready to put in the effort to slog through the other stuff to find that good bit
