Here's a list of all the rules if anyone wants that: -You can not touch the ball with your hands or arms intentionally. (unless you are the goalie) -The whole ball must cross the goal line for it to constitute as a goal. -Each game must include one referee and 2 assistant referees. -A match consists of 2 45 minute halves with a 15 minute rest period in-between. -If the game needs to head to extra time as the result of both teams being level in a match then 30 minutes will be added in the form of two 15 minute halves after the allotted 90 minutes. -If teams are still level after extra time then a penalty shootout must take place to decide the winner. -At the start of a soccer period or after a goal there is a kickoff from the center circle. -At the kickoff all of the soccer players must be on their side of the field. -Only the player kicking off is allowed inside the center circle. -After the kickoff the ball will be in play until the ball goes out of bounds or a referee calls penalty. -Each team can name up to 7 substitutes. -Substitutions can be made at any time of the match, with each team being able to make a maximum of 3 substitutions per sign. -In the event of all 3 substitutions being made and a player having to leave the field for injury the team will be forced to play without a replacement for that player. -Offside can be called when an attacking player is in front of the last defender when the pass is played through to them. -To be onside they must be placed behind the last defender when the ball is played to them. -If offside is called then the opposing team will get a free kick. At this point I got lazy and don't want to finish, maybe I will come back and finish this later.

This was so confusing 😭 Offsides to be exact. Also when he said defender and showed the ball with the player my brain registered them as the attackers.
If you are behind the last player on the other team before the goal and someone passes you the ball, then you are in an offside position. If you already have the ball and you make it past the last player on the other team before the goal then it is ok. That way you can't wait by your opponents goal and have your teammate kick the ball across the field to you and score. That would be a cheapshot.
If you have the ball and you run past the last defender it is ok, but if someone passes you the ball when you are past the last defender, then its offside. If your team mate kicks the ball behind of the last defender and you run past and get it that is also ok. The rule is that you have to be behind the ball.
Can someone explain the offside rule in basketball terms? It’s genuinely confusing. Is it similar to goaltending and an offensive foul, the defender can’t be in front of the attacker if the ball just got passed through their attacker?? Which means two people of the same team can’t be in the goalbox?
It would be kind of cool if the two 45 min half’s would be turned into 3 30 min quarters, would make for a different dynamic in the sport we all love so much
Dog I’m volunteering to be the referee for the children’s soccer match in 15 minutes and this is the only thing I know about the rules. Should I be scared?
So, for clarification: the ball is kicked to the opposing team from the center? I thought you had to let it bounce 3 times and then any team can get it.
I know this was a month ago, but coming from an ECNL player, do you have any tips for me? If you want more details just respond and I'll give you my info.
@@gabrielmoorefootball well something that could help is if u want to make a better team like let’s say ECNL or even academy is that you have to reach out to the coach first and see if you can get yourself a trial and make a highlight reel for yourself so that the coaches know what to expect before you actually tryout

What a nice vid! I obviously know all of these rules in my first language (Portuguese), but I'm having fun learning them in English!

@@myHandle8374 Thank you! That's so much clearer
@@myHandle8374what do you mean by “last player”?
Yes you are
Just got fifa 20 so I gotta get on this
The most I remember is penalty and free kick.
Can you be in front of the last defender (offside rule) if you have the ball and are gonna shoot?
If you have the ball and you run past the last defender it is ok, but if someone passes you the ball when you are past the last defender, then its offside. If your team mate kicks the ball behind of the last defender and you run past and get it that is also ok. The rule is that you have to be behind the ball.
The offside rule is slightly incorrect. You cannot be past the second to last offender, Which includes their goalie.
You cannot be past their last man is basically saying you cannot be past their last player who is not the goalkeeper.
@@AarickSadh-h9r with modern sweeper keepers, it is possible that the last person won’t be the keeper so it is important to make the distinction.

You are actually allowed to sub off an injured player and replace that person but Im pretty sure that the other team gets an extra sub

2 yellow cards are not equal one red card. The second red card in the same match forces a red card to be given.

Hi
Incorrect about offside. It’s the second to last opponent. Not last defender. Second to last…
Best plays in the world is maradona
What is the logic behind giving 7 substitutes name if only 3 substitutions are allowed ?
vicky v players get tired but don’t want to interfere too much w game flow?
I think they only have 7 people to choose from for substitutes but they only can substitute 3 people so they have to choose when they substitute
The substitutions depends of possible injuries or coach's strategy during the game, it's unpredictable
The offside rule is not pretty well accurate.
3:33 put a warning

There are several HUGE mistakes in your explanation. I usually use your explanations as sources, but I highly reccomend you NOT to use this video.

It's football, not soccer
Your in a different state😂
First off, its football not soccer.
Actually logically it’s futbol not football
It was originally called soccer lol, so actually it’s soccer not football
Lol
IT IS NOT SOCCER ITS FOOTBALL
This video is not good. A lot of it's content is inaccurate.
