This video contains gameplay from the game The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for the Nintendo Switch in HD. In this episode of my Recreation Duration series, since many people think Eventide Island Shrine is really hard, I try to beat it on master mode with only 3 hearts and no weapons. I hope you enjoy!

I had just finished the master trials so I did eventide and was so happy I had everything so I spammed champion abilities and rode around the island on my bike lol

That definitely would have been harder and maybe even more entertaining but at the time I thought this challenge would have been hard enough. Never thought I would do it first try.

There is an amazing trick with Eventide Island. Before you get on the island, you can walk in the water on the beach. dont go to close to land but close enough. you can fire 10 arrows into a tree, and you can drop 5 weapons (inc bows) in the water. you can also drop some food. then walk onto the island the Shrine quest will start and just go pick every thing up.
Extra, eat some stamina food (endura Carrots, Fairy wells) for the extra yellow stamina rings, Hearty Food (hearty Durian, Faron Tower area). Make a choice, mighty food or tough food giving you max bonus.

You could do the dropping weapons method to make it easier. Just remember to drop the weapons on the ground again before putting the last orb in a pedestal so that they won't disappear.

as if i didn't already feel bad enough at the game haha, i died so many times in normal mode at this island. great mini boss music, can't wait to hear the rest of the album
You can use cryosis to go across the ocean to the island, it may be slow but it’s worth it because before you step on the island you can throw any weapons or materials of your choice onto the island, then you can start the trial and your stuff will still be there for you to pick up lol
true. But I dont like that method because it ruins the whole point of eventide
There's a glitch with eventide. If you drop items in the water next to the shore before you enter the island, you can keep those items. I did this to have silver Lynel shield, sword, and bow, and a few cooking items.

i tried to do that once and it almost worked but lightning happened to strike and break almost all of my stuff :(
Remember to drop them before completing.
@@sonicmastersword8080 did that and I lost some op items, but I have a hacked switch, so I can just replace it
I did this for a sword, a shield, and Soldier armor.

I was pushing the raft into the island with the korok leaf and I killed the Hynox, then I got off the raft and the challenge started, without Hynox '-'

@@247MrNiceguyIn fact, an arrow was missing to kill him and he punched me and threw me off the raft, but continued the same life as before, so I killed him with bombs, I'm a Brazilian fan :D

When I did eventide on my first playthrough I idiotically did it when I had 3 hearts and only 1 stamina container. I struggled so badly on it but i eventually beat it.
yeah it gets much easier the later you come there
I love everything about eventide island except when the sheika balls fall in the water
Thieving I did it at the start of the game I glitched out of plateau and I only has cryonis
I like to think the devs thought about taking away your sheikah slate on Eventide. It would have definitely added a new layer of challenge (though I can't remember if any of those orbs require a slate ability).

In the eventide island if you drop a sword before enter the island you can keep it in the challenge but they will stole it when you finish the challenge

first time I got to eventide, I found it pretty challenging, and it was my favorite shrine quest.. then I watched some videos on it and found out you could use the shika slate abilities... that really diminished the challenge for me, but luckily, we can play however we want.. I just wish there were a way to disable the glider .
...hey, that may be a challenge, no shika slate, champion abilities or glider, and kill everything on the island on Master mode... oh, and only 3 hearts and a single wheel of stamina

I didn't think it was difficult, but I enjoyed being reduced to a weaponless castaway and having to claw my way back from nothing. One of my favorite BOTW memories was opting not to fight the hinox, instead landing on his chest, stealing the orb, and running to the pedestal with him right on my tail with an uprooted tree for a club. My wife was watching, and laughing at me the whole way. Good times, awesome game.
Yeah eventide island is a really cool part of the game.
