Thomas's whole inbox for the next weeks "Hi Thomas, my dream is making games and I love your channel. I can't get anyone to play my game, but you'll love it."
Exactly!! So relatable😅I used to care so much about the tiny details, 'cause we know our music inside and out, we have this perfect image of how it's "supposed to sound", ideally... but 99% of the audience don't know these things and don't care that much, they just enjoy the raw experience as it comes
Thomas, I've recently completed your Easy 3D free course and OMG thank you so much, I'm already saving some budget to get your full course, God bless you and your family man.
26:30 I think its interesting that games that are not generic are still successful and that marketing via graphics are not as important as having a good core to your game
Great job Joseph! Thank you Thomas for these videos. It's always very inspirational to see that there are quite a few people that actually make money making games. These videos lead me to learning blender 3d!
This is great! It's making me feel a lot better about my super simplistic game I'm launching to steam in a month. Joseph- you rock man, much love and thanks for sharing your story!
Excellent video, congratulations Joseph. Thomas, you are right about the insecurity. I have been battling with it for years, but now, at my 50, I’m starting my journey as game designer and developer. Thanks!
What I enjoy most of the time in this channel is discussion about the experiences as a developer or entrepreneur. It shows that we are not alone in this world dealing with this feeling and problems.
So rude Thomas. As an android user, I will remember that this developer doesn't care about me lol. Color in his game could make it easier to tell the die easier. Like red loses points, black is a flat amount and green multiples the score. There are good reasons to add color
This video inspire me to push harder with finishing my game and then just hit submit to get the backlash worrying about would it fail then waiting years but to only waste some much time which is not easy to get thought the doubt part as indiedev
If anyone wants to see those 100+ videos you can find the playlist in my channel. Thanks again @XraiDev for making a great game and nice to discover you Thomas.
Joseph seems like a cool dude. Going to be honest that game is not for me but I hope his next game appeals to me. Thomas you’re the man, so transparent with us.
Bro just lean startuped (dunno if he realizes that) his game on his own at this age, whereas many experienced devs doesn't even get it. It's pretty awesome congratz !
Just an observation without knowing much about the game, at about 23:25 it appears some numeric abbreviating may be in order... something like 45.31 Billion instead of a 14 digit figure.
@@xraidev thank a lot! I might do like you did and give a personalised email once the game is released! Anyways, awesome talk in this video. Keep it up!
aliensrock is one of my favorite youtubers who I enjoy checking out because he's just very entertaining. He supports puzzle games which are like one of the least appreciated games genre, and he is down to earth. Also he taught me a lot about puzzles in general just from seeing his videos
Thomas, thank you for all your helpful videos. I am making a game and I am writing the story of my game. I am a sucker for story. But I am divided between making it a 2D or 3D. Which is easier to make quicker a 2D or 3D game?
Here's what I want to say, sort-of from Denmark, we have a more sedate culture, also promoting stuff, it's sort-of tough . . @@firstLast-jw7bm Gonna say it, I don't like what you say, bec. it feels uhh maybe weird, and abusive . . I'm not against business, and, corporations, I just haven't seen a single modern corp do what you say, give massively to the public, or, be an inspiration, instead of a product - line, or, tv - fad, etc . . Many companies, break the law, #scandals, it's a balance, most people that have money, keep it, or, spend it on big houses, or, expensive vacations . . Money, sort-of being super - rich, at that level, super - rich, benefits no one, even person having the money, no one deserves that much, and, it breaks down community . . Being wealthy, or succesful is not the same thing, as being ' super ' rich . . However, it's my opinion, so on . . . Good people, imo try not to become rich, or, #TOO succesful, bec. they know it hurts their morals, or identity . . It's a careful #balance, having ton of money, or crazy succes, while other people have nothing, suffer . . That's sort-of impossible to ' live ' with, or, be ignorant of . .
