For sure Claus. It is a strange but brilliant feeling when you finally start understanding rhythm. I try and remember to trust the process daily….however doing what you have said ( just taking a couple notes from something I have mastery over) has been much more rewarding as opposed to keep sounding bad over things that I don’t have total control of yet.
