  • The horror of Hamas' October 7 massacre of Israelis has created a line in the shifting sands of history. While the final consequences of Iran-backed Islamic terrorism against Israel remain unclear, the world that Israel, the West, and the world has known since Hamas’s 2007 Gaza takeover has changed forever.
Israel's war extends beyond Gaza to Iranian-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthis in Yemen. U.S. President Joe Biden, despite some wobbling, has so far strongly backed Israel, warning China, Russia and (near-nuclear) Iran - “Don’t!”As antisemitic pro-Hamas mobs roil America’s campuses and cities, and the 2024 Presidential election looms, a global battle to save Western values is under way.
Professor of History Frederick Krantz, Founder and Director Emeritus of the Canadian Institute for Jewish Research (CIJR), offers observations on what the future - for Israel, the U.S, and the Western world - may hold.
