She isn't even the strangest of witnesses/suspects you meet in the series. This is the franchise where you cross examine a parrot in court. Not some eccentric character themed around a parrot, but an actual bird.
They one upped it nearly a decade later with an Orca. As much as Geiru activates my neurons, i found her brother to be the most interesting character in the turnabout.
In the very same game that Geiru is in, you have to pretend that time travel exists in an otherwise-not-that-magical-besides-seances videogame.

Its nice that we in such another level of social animals that I don't even know how much of this fear of clowns is natural/based on trauma and how much of it was basicly learned by kids and influenciable people as in "this is the thing that we are suppose to be afraid of cause this sees its the kind of thing they accept us to be afraid of", and was just propagated by one guy or a group a looong time ago.
this leads me to question how much of what we assume people in a society assumes its their understanding of their own reality and how much was implanted there, like race, genderism and so on.

I have always thought that Geiru has such a unique design, a good satire on overly bubbly fan-service girls in anime, but was disappointed to see so little fan-art of her. Even if she has a lot of fans now that don't even play the game, I'm glad that her character design is being appreciated.

My theory is that the reason this meme got so popular is because of the ancient fear of clowns. The internet has a tendency to take everything we're scared of and make it fuckable, which acts as a defense mechanism. It's sort of BDSM-ish, since you take the adrenaline rush you get from fearing something and turn it into horniness, and honestly I think this is beautiful
that would explain why even though I have a crippling fear of spiders, you'll find plenty of spiders in my web history before I erase it...

So at the end of the day it's just that the parody got his personality very wrong, which is understandable since the creator stated that he knew almost nothing about Ace Attorney.

The funniest part to me is that a lot of Ace Attorney fans kind of hate this because of how a poorly the original video represents Ace Attorney as well as the video drawing people to Spirit of Justice (which Geiru is from) more than other games in the series, even though SOJ is the last game in the series and arguably the least popular

I'd say SOJ is least popular just because even with people who like SOJ, they typically like the rest of the series more (I'm certainly in that boat), whereas with Apollo Justice the people who do like it love it. Plus a lot of the people who don't like AJ do like SOJ, although SOJ has Phoenix as protagonist again the lack of which was a big complaint about AJ.
I will never understand those kind of fans. As if memes are supposed to accurately "represent" the source. If that were the case, 99% of memes wouldn't exist. Like if it's an official adaptation or something, okay, understandable. But these are MEMES. Imagine a spiderman fan getting triggered by the pointing spiderman meme and saying "it doesn't represent the franchise!". Memes are supposed to be fun, bringing some joy into dreary days.
