Wow, this is exactly what I want to build behind my house to cover an "outdoor" gym area so that my equipment is protected from rain. I love the minimal look of the metal structure. This is exactly what want to do where one side has a higher pitch than the other but stands alone (not attached to the house). Great work!
hi, what size posts and beams are those? and what wall thickness. planing on similar build but having trouble deciding on wall thickness to prevent sagging
Looks like 1/8" wall thickness. You could probably get away with 1/16". I have a build video for a 10' x 12' steel gazebo on my channel where I used tubing of both wall thicknesses.
As a welder, they had to have hired the most unskilled welder in existence. Yeah just weld right over slag covered welds for slag inclusions so the welds break. Also, you’re playing Russian roulette using a cut off wheel as your only source of cutting material. Get a real saw, and a real welder to do this.
That's a basic arc welder that he's using to stick weld. For aluminum you'll need either a MIG welder with a bottle of argon gas or a TIG welder with a bottle of argon. Welding aluminum is tricky, you'll want to use steel if you don't know much about welding. I'd MIG weld it instead of stick welding. It's cleaner and easier. I have a build video on my channel for a 10' x 12' steel gazebo that's all TIG welded.
I have a metal Pergola and can't find any detail videos on anyone attaching a plexi roof to one....what are you using to attach the roof to your Pergola?

What thickness and size of plexiglass roof? And what about resistance to weather conditions?
Interesting welding technique....
Plexiglass works as a greenhouse!!!! Especially on summer

Same here!

How are you keeping it secure to the metal ?
Great, but what are the dimensions of materials
hey and what about metal measurements ...???
What is the size of the iron used in the process of raising the foundations? I mean the size of the iron ❤

He may not have a saw in his country. This is a DYI project.
Came here to say this. You can see this man has no knowledge, even basic knowledge of how welding works.
It’s cringy to watch.
6013 or 6011 and what size of rod¿.? Because it's very hard to weld thin metals
Looking at building something like this to hold solar panels.
Awesome. Could you give me the specs of the welding machine? I was looking into that but for aluminum, you need argon, correct? TY in advance.
That’s likely steel not aluminium?

@@grippimatt one can stick weld aluminum. Just gotta get the right electrodes.
The plexi plastic sheeting appeared all very rushed I'd have liked to see how you secured the last sheet put up..?
Was wondering about that myself
Was wondering about that myself
What is the welding type? Mig or tig
Stick
Those fumes are killers. Use respiratory protection
Good work!
Dimension metal 50×50??
I have a metal Pergola and can't find any detail videos on anyone attaching a plexi roof to one....what are you using to attach the roof to your Pergola?
The easyest and cheapest method is to use self-tapping screws that come with a small rubber gasket
What is the size of this pergola?
08:35😮
Music ?
Seam wrong way round should be down slope
Me equivoqué, es un canal de música chafa
Welding skill needed 😩
Snow or wind and no more pergola... Amateur work.
LOL! Your welding needs some more practice 😛
