    nicely done adding that spool gun ,i'm not a welder and i don't own any welders but i've watched every single youtube video about the Yeswelder 205DS and i'm pretty positive that you can manually adjust the wire speed "atleast on the mig gun" i just can't figure out which video that explained that but i know it has a setting to manually adjust the wire speed that was one selling point for the 205DS over the TOOLIOM 3 in 1 MIG Welder when i was researching which welder to get

    im working on a similar mod for the mp200 firstest. Tt does not have a manual mode, only the synergic so im working with a pwm motor control as you stated. Im waiting on my solid state solenoid so the trigger activates the motor regardless of what the welder outputs tot he motor. The only thing I really need to figure out now is the voltage amperage which you have helped greatly with. Thanks, the community appreciates you! Also, hats awesome you mentioned the mod to them and they liked it!

      From what I understand, the Firstess is not far off from functioning the same way as the 205, in theory I cant see any reason this wouldnt work unless it doesnt have the different mig/mag settings to be able to get the volt to amp ratio right for the feed speed. If you are using an adjustable/external 24v power supply then it should be cake, just get the voltage in the right range and set the speed yourself

    Nice upgrade! I JUST (literally less than an hour ago) used my Mig 205-DS welder for the first time. Actually first time welding at all and now I have the bug! I had a thought for your voltage issue. Could you run a variable resistor to the spool gun to control the voltage independent of what the Yeswelder is preprogramed for? Keep the settings you have, but turn the resister to say 90% to better control the power. I'm not an electrician and a noob welder, but it makes sense in my tiny brain. lol

      @@FlawedOffroad I apologize, I'm kind of dum. I'm looking at a euro style gun, (I don't mind having to unhook the mig gun) this way I would have power and gas. • @FlawedOffroad
      @FlawedOffroad  2 года назад

      I’m not sure. it’s ability to tig is sort of an extra feature and not the focus of the machine, its dc tig only and I assumed hf start only comes on nicer ac/dc machines. (Their 250 pro supposedly has ac tig as does the tig 205ds) Sky is the limit if you can get ahold of one of the carbon rod boards. If you have one laying around try it 😅 I’m not sure what the required supply voltage is on the HF board. My plasma cutter has one in there.

    Here is how to add speed control to the welder and the spool gun, from @keegantheveganat0r
    ruclips.net/video/mSMY657JJKE/видео.html
    If you would rather use the Euro plug spool gun you can do that as well, you will still need to wire a plug for the 24v to control drive wheels, and it will be alot more time consuming to swap between mig and spool.

    • @Ski706
      @Ski706 2 года назад

      I just got my 205D and like to do a similar mod in the future. Why do you say it would be more time consuming to switch. I was thinking of using the Yes spool gun add a 24 volt connector and a switch as you had done. Wouldn't that allow the gas to flow through the euro connector as the MIG gun does? Let me know if I'm missing something. Thanks for taking the leap, awesome video!

    • @FlawedOffroad
