It was released in 93 by Diana Akiwumi (now known as Diana Hopeson). This was my jam when it was first released and would play that cassette non stop. This song was a medley on that album sang along with other popular songs ‘Winner eh Winner/Thank you Jesus/ ‘My body eh na God I go give am oo/ Jesus na bigi man. All these songs were sung in a Nigerian style. This now raises 2 questions and the basis of most of the confusion: 1. Did Diana compose these songs but the beats/style inspired by Nigerian music culture. 2. Did she sample those songs from Nigeria? 3. Perhaps Nigerians later heard this and made it their own because of how easily relatable it was. That being said, this version from Moses Bliss is Ghana style (Jama) inspired with a nice flavour to it.
