I love my DC-2W also have a Free the Tone Tri-Avatar Multi Dimensional Chorus (both phenomenal). We've all let a few pedals "get-away" (however) the newer stuff has better buffers, ability to achieve unity gain, and are are mass produced more consistently. I let go of: EHX Memory Man, Boss MIJ CE-2W, Ibanez Bi-mode Chorus. I have no regrets. Older pedals are glitchy & unreliable. I also have the E-Lady which is fantastic. Very interesting.
