I REALLY appreciate this episode for the deeper themes at play. Johnny and Daniel were rivals in school. And they've held onto the grudge for decades. It's informed both of their lives completely. And even now, as adults, they have so much latent animosity towards each other. Even when they do work together it's constantly there. Always at odds. Miguel and Kyler had the same school rivalry. The same childish problems. But now, even just a year later, nothing. There's no hatred or animosity. There's no lingering disdain. They're able to meet, catch up, work together, and act like friends. Leaving their petty squabbles in the past. The new generation is learning from the mistakes of the old one and not going down the same destructive path.

Its harder to be on the run within the US because states will usually share information. if you escape prison and go on the run, your face and info will be everywhere and will make it more likely you cant hide for long within the US

The way I see it, kreese probably has been going to and from America with the help from one of his war buddies. It’s not outlandish to imagine one of them could have a plane or jet to use.
