I never understood the point of paper crafting because I had so many photos in boxes and thinking of trying to make a scrapbook page seemed overwhelming. Then I saw a video of Jennifer making a card . I still remember it was the happy die from Walter and Winnie and was done with glitter in rainbow order. It was so beautiful and was something you could give to someone else. From that video I became a card maker! Thank you, Jennifer for all the inspiration and instruction through the years!
Jennifer, am so grateful for your videos. I am newly retired and have had an empty next for a couple of years. Initially I found retirement difficult, because I was in a job that involved interacting with and helping people. I like to give to people. There was a big void. You have reignited a sense of purpose and joy in my life. I have started to make cards to share with the people in my church. I have a passion, a purpose again. Thank you, Jennifer! You are so inspiring!
Re: Tim Holtz rotary cutter--I just saw him demonstrate it in a video where he's reviewing all of the trimmers in their line and answering questions/difficulties encountered with each one. He said that everyone needs to put the pad of their thumb into that little notch to the left of the rotary carriage and when you slide the mechanism (with your thumb resting in the notch), you also tilt your fingers toward the cutting blade--if you look at your video at the 41:51 mark, look at your left hand's middle finger--where it's tucked underneath the black area--that's where your thumb pad should go. He said the reason we need to tilt it toward the cutting blade is that this particular cutter was designed to work with many different thicknesses of paper--think Mixed Media stuff like heavy papers, chipboard, grunge, etc. , and that's the way the cutter can manage the different thicknesses. Here's the link to that video because he says it way better than I have: ruclips.net/video/XeAKD-E3m7Y/видео.html&lc=UgyHhxalqEBxMfr7cbB4AaABAg The rotary cutter part begins at the 33:40 mark, the thumb positioning is at the 35:30 mark This was a huge help for me because I wasn't ever able to get a clean cut and had pretty much shelved this tool. I hope this is helpful! I was also really impressed with the new precision trimmer's spring loaded bit.
My Mum has also just turned 80 on the 29th - she’s the most awesome person with fabulous energy and kindness, I’m incredibly lucky to have her as my Mum.
It's so beautiful hearing you talk about your friends and family - it's very clear you have such a wonderful community of people supporting your crafty hobby. Love all the stories you share with us. Even down to the people who gift you crafty decor or sit down to do projects with you. 🩵
Just watched the replay and LOVED it! I have followed you for many years and actually took a class with you at Stampaway before you were McGuire and your Mom was a helper! It is good to see that you do make mistakes and can roll with it! Thanks for all you do for the industry and your followers!
I have the GoPower and Emboss machine. Mine started stopping mid cut. I checked that the power cord was securely attached and it has been working perfectly ever since.
watching 2 days later! It was so fun hearing all the questions and your answers! You were very kind, talking with your live visitors, and didn't have much time to create. I enjoyed the chat, it was so fun. Thanks for taking the time to do this.
JENNIFER I’ve said this soooo many times over the years, but YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. Not only creatively, but your organization skills are second to none!! The way you put the dies over a stamped set of sentiments is …AMAZING! Needless to say I never would have thought to do that. You truly are the G.O.A.T!!!!!
Jennifer is really one of a kind... and such a decent and wonderful Human Being. They don't come any better. She is so modest too. and pretty. ha ha ha ha pat
I know what you mean by sleeping better when all is under one roof. My daughter is home, but, going back soon. Hopefully, she’ll graduate with her ph. D by 2028. 10 yrs in college. Thx to the crafting industry. I can’t always get everything. But, your sales posts help. Love the goat. Happy New Year to you & your family ! TY for all you do.
You are so amazing in so many ways. Love every one of your videos and the techniques you share. The tips you provide are invaluable in getting things straight, lined up, at an angle, time management, batching cards etc. etc. In this video you show how to cut out many sentiments that are stamped and perfectly die cut over and over again for as many of those sentiments you want. Stash building. The engineer in you comes out frequently. Thank you and Happy New Year to you and your family.
I just watched you on replay. I must compliment you on your lives. You are so much less nervous than your first one and it was like you have been doing lives for years. Thank you. I enjoyed your sentiment tips.
Watched this today, Jan. 7, because I was away for the holidays. I loved that Jennifer “kept me company” while I worked in my stamp room cleaning up all the paper pieces left from making 70 Christmas cards. I did take advantage of the Honey Bee sale, but wish I had seen this video before ordering of course. Thanks for the great ideas for organizing. Happy New Year wishes for you Jennifer and all then card makers out there.
I have learned so much from your videos over the years. I was so dumbfounded and disappointed with my Tim Holtz Rotary Trimmer. It wasn’t just the cost, but a part of me found it difficult to believe a tool designed by Tim wasn’t working as expected. It was a small thing, but your demonstration on how to press my fingers against the side of the rotary blade was answered prayer. No more frayed edges!!! Perfectly pristine cuts!!! It was such a small thing but it was that little step I had somehow overlooked. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!!!
Wine not, indeed! Jennifer, I'm winding down my day, looking for an antidote to the world's bad news, and came across the replay of your happy live video: perfect! Love your wonderful cardmaking and terrific techniques, but the bonus is listening to you talk. I don't care if you're talking about crafting or life in general; your voice is so soothing. Thank you. Wishing you and your whole family a happy, healthy and abundant new year!
You certainly did better than I could have, answering questions and crafting at the same time. I have never successfully multi-tasked. I can do one thing adequately or multiple things disastrously! Thank you, Jennifer, for sharing your time and ideas with us.
Ha, love your screaming goat! I have an Elf nutcracker ornament that sits on my desk and says "son of a nutcracker!" when activated. My hubby always laughs when he hears that coming from the craft room!
HOLA JENNIFER, GRACIAS POR TODOS SUS CONSEJOS. ME ENCANTA LA FORMA EN QUE NOS ENSEÑA!!! DIOS LA BENDIGA, Y QUE ESTE NUEVO ANO 2024, SUS BENDICIONES SOBREABUNDEN SOBRE UD. Y LOS SUYOS. FELIZ ANO NUEVO!!!!!
Just started watching, but yes, having adult children is still stressful. My 26 yo son is a firefighter in the Air Force , stationed in Germany, and is finally able to come home in 2 more weeks. I’m so excited that I may not sleep until then. I’m so happy that you are enjoying having everyone together and under one roof. Happy New Year Jennifer!
I really really enjoyed this video. So many tips and helpful hints. Thanks so much for your wisdom and being so open and honest and showing that we do not have to be perfect. Have a wonderfully blessed New Year!
Jennifer your earrings are beautiful and the sweater color is beautiful on your skin. It's perfect for you. what a great color. Loved your spontaneous show.. You go with the flow great now...and your brother Mike is a great loyal brother to you. He is a blessing. Happy New Year to you and all those watching your show..... Lets hope 24 finds real help for the pandemic and opens a door for new real hope............ Happy New Year....... pat
I missed this live, so lovely to be able to watch this on replay. So many fabulous tips and tricks, thank you! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year Jennifer, so excited for a year filled with wonderful crafty adventures xoxo
I so love that you are doing lives! You really are the GOAT! Keep creating! I love you videos and get so much inspiration with you! I love that you talk about your anxiety filming, that you mess up and noone is perfect. Thank you for being such a great resource and a positive one!
Thank you SO much for doing this video. I missed your live chat but watched the replay. I learned so much from you today. I wish you would do a chat like this at least once a month. It’s wonderful to ask you questions and then get answers so quickly. THANK YOU AGAIN!
I am so sorry I missed your live. That is EXACTLY what I thought you could use the screaming goat for!!! Big hugs to you and thank you for these fabulous lives 😘. Happy anew Year!
Happy New Year Jennifer, Mike and family. I never got a notification you were going live and missed it but I think your replay video was wonderful. Thanks for sharing all your tips and tricks. Everything you do is amazing and all crafters appreciate you. Especially me....and glad you got to have some fruit salad. Crafting and wine sometimes goes hand in hand. LOL. Enjoy the rest of your time with your family. Looking forward to the next year of videos and love love love the lives.
What a lovely surprise to see your live come up Saturday. I only watched part then saw the rest on video the last two days. Love your sentiment hacks and also highlighting HoneyBee Stamps. They make such great products - some of my favorites are the Lovely Layers dies. For me to craft, I must have some semblance of order, so I isolate things in somewhat organized piles but eventually must put everything away. I just can't create in chaos and God bless those that can lol! Happy New Year!
Great live, Jennifer! (As usual). You seem to be a whole lot more relaxed during your live videos, and I am happy that you seem to feel better because I know it was very stressful for you in the beginning and I hated to see you go through that, but I loved Seeing you do live videos. I knew you would become more comfortable sooner than later. I just wanted to ask a big favor… Sometimes I can’t hear Mike read a question to you and I don’t know what the question is that you’re answering. Sometimes I can tell from the answer, but not always. I was wondering if you would mind repeating the question that Mike gives you as it will help me understand the answer you are giving. P. S. I love your earrings too❣️
Some interesting ideas, especially liked the stamping off the sentiments and keeping them in a binder as then you don't have to search through a million stamp sets to find the right one. Thanks and enjoy your time with your family.
Watching the reply. Love you live Jennifer. So much great info and I am a long time crafter! Also just love hearing your natural easy going style - and yes I do appreciate this is out of your comfort zone😂 But you are growing sister!! It’s looking good on you!! Thanks for all you do.
I couldn't agree more, Jennifer inspired me to try cards n now I love them!!! ❤❤She is so thoughtful and puts others first, always recommended others n theirvproducts!!!❤❤ We love you Jennifer!!
I was able to take advantage of Honey Bee's sale and replace my poor die cutter that died on me just as i was at the height of holiday card making! I know i appreciated the sale immensely! 💕❣️❤️
I work Saturdays, so had to watch the repeat. It was a great live and it looks like you are getting more comfortable with them. Thanks for the reminder to prep sentiments. I plan to make some tomorrow.
Hi Jennifer, loved the helpful hints today. I will be using them tonight. I wanted to comment on the question on the Empress. My sweet husband bought me one for Christmas. The instructions actually say to place the die blade side up on the magnetic mat and cut into the cutting plate. It seems like every one I watch cuts into the magnetic mat. I would be interested to know what Empress says.
Wow I thought I loved u before when u were just posting….but I have to say I love your lives better…keep em coming Jen…and aren’t u lucky to have Mike in your life! Such a great addition to your team! Happy new year and looking forward to your fav’s again this year…one of favorite ways to spend coffee time watching them! 😘
Thank you Jennifer! I had forget about the Honey Bee sale so just used your link and placed a 200 dollars order! Bummer the inside birthday stamps was sold out but left it on my wishlist 😀
Jennifer, have you ever considered a video with the theme of “All about card stock”? I know that I have learned a lot on my own from being an amateur graphic designer and from a few years of card making. There’s so much to cover about weights and thicknesses; paper grain and how it affects scoring and folding; specialty cardstock wholesalers, the variety of useful information is endless. I just thought I’d put the suggestion out there. I’d make a video on it if I wasn’t camera shy. As usual I enjoy your videos and learn so much from them. Happy New Year
JM you do not look old enough to have 28 & 26 year old children. You look amazing. Love the idea of pre-prepared sentiments. Thank you for all the inspiration throughout the year. Happy new year. 🎆🎆🎆
I also had the stop problem with the Anna Griffin machine. I contacted the company which did not have a fix for me. I ended up getting a new machine at my cost, as I do love the machine. Hopefully I won’t have the same problem 😊
Thanks for another fabulous video! Always love your honesty and the light that shines through in each of your videos. Wishing you and your family a fabulous 2024! 🎉🥳🎊🤍🩵
Thanks for your tips about the guillotine trimmer and glue press. I noticed that all retailers (except from My Sweet Petunia) are out of stock of the glue press. Do you have any insight of when the glue press might be available to purchase from Simon Says Stamp or other retailers?
Wonderful sale, but we are late to party and big stuff$$$ sold out. My heart is broken. Wanted a misti to replace my old broken different brand when I was beginning. But great sale!🎉
I cant keep my tiny room cleaned up either..when it gets overwhelming I clean up and put everything away then I usually cant find a darn thing for awhile!! Lol. Love your videos Jennifer
I use those magnetic photo albums to hold my postage stamps (I try to coordinate them to envelope). Then I can just leaf through album for appropriate stamp. And when I get some cardstock, I will cut some of it down to 6x6 and put them straight up and down in plastic shoebox by color, just so it’s a usable size and convenient to me, while die cutting
Jennifer, thanks for thinking of us with your 'pause' in your day. Have followed you for a long time and looking forward to your 2024 inspiring tutorials :)
Thanks so much for the video! Your mass production of sentiments will be so helpful! Great video! I hope you have a great New Year & that Lives are becoming less stressful.
In spite of all the downplaying you did during this video, I enjoyed listening to you and found it very interesting, educational and fun! Thank you for sharing your time with us. Thanks to Mike as well. BTW, coincidentally I just finished a book set in Scotland that had a screaming goat in it. I had no idea that goats scream.
I really enjoyed your video. I have learned so many techniques from you so thank you! Question: I noticed your waffle flower mat moved inside your Misti. Did it lose the stickiness? I just bought one and welcome any suggestion to keep it sticky. Thanks again and happy new year!
We could have been happy to have you take some time off. You are so generous to us in your offerings. PS: I know what you mean about having them all home. 😢😊
I do what you do by stamping the whole set, but I glue that to a magnetic sheet and put the appropriate die over the wording so I don’t have to hunt for the proper die.
Dear Jennifer, I am a 73 year old card maker who began to make cards 30 years ago. However, I have learned more in the last ten years since I discovered you on RUclips! I appreciate your teaching style and my cards reflect the tecniques I have learned from you. THANK YOU! I too am a Christian, so my cards are my ministry to others. Each year when you offer your boxes of supplies in exchange for $100 donation to a charity, I never seem to remember to contact you. Every Christmas we donate well over $100 to Samaritan's purse. We feel led by our Lord to donate to Franklin Graham for his work through Samaritan's Purse and Operation Christmas Child Boxes. Could you please add me to your list for this coming year, I can assure you that it will be a blessing to me as well as blessing for those who I will encourage with cards made with these suppies. THANK YOU!!! Sue Hansard , Grass Valley, California
Great video! Love the idea of mass producing sentiments. I just purchased a sentiments banner die from Altenew and was wondering how to maximize its use … now I know👍!
I have another question. Honeybee has the Spellbinders shears on their site, but they are sold out. Do you think the 30% reduction be available when the shears are back in stock?
I never understood the point of paper crafting because I had so many photos in boxes and thinking of trying to make a scrapbook page seemed overwhelming. Then I saw a video of Jennifer making a card . I still remember it was the happy die from Walter and Winnie and was done with glitter in rainbow order. It was so beautiful and was something you could give to someone else. From that video I became a card maker! Thank you, Jennifer for all the inspiration and instruction through the years!
I completely forgot about Winnie and Walter!
Sadly I waited too late trying to order the happy die and they were closing shop.
We all love you, Jennifer. Thank you to Jennifer's family for sharing her with us worldwide!

Thank you for your time and company Jennifer ❤
You can also use a thin sheet of copy paper, stamp on that and glue it to your magnet sheet, you won't have to use tape to hold your dies.
Same. My youngest boy came home for Christmas and it was wonderful. He left on the 27th as he has to go back to work.
Lol yes saw pj's, excellent wine, pj's and crafting you are my kind of lady xx
I use 'Be Still' quite a bit. Love the list. Of course, it has led to having to buy a few things. . . Thank you Honey Bee for the generous discount.
Happy New Year Jennifer. I am enjoying a glass of Proseco and watching this video. Thank you for all you do and for your creativity.

Thank you Jennifer! I had forget about the Honey Bee sale so just used your link and placed a 200 dollars order! Bummer the inside birthday stamps was sold out but left it on my wishlist 😀
Good afternoon! Glad to see your smiley face!
Happy New Year
Watched this on replay and loved it. Thanks so much for this and all your videos. May the Lord bless you and yours this new year!
You are the highlight of day Jennifer ❤
JM you do not look old enough to have 28 & 26 year old children. You look amazing. Love the idea of pre-prepared sentiments. Thank you for all the inspiration throughout the year. Happy new year. 🎆🎆🎆
Hi Jennifer!🤗😉. So great to see you live today😊
I love it when you are live!!!! You are awesome!!!
All the beautiful colors of your scraps!
Enjoyed this time with you! So happy you now are doing more Lives!! Go enjoy some family memories.
Evernote is amazing! I have over 500 stamp sets, and I would be lost without it!
Thanks for your tips about the guillotine trimmer and glue press. I noticed that all retailers (except from My Sweet Petunia) are out of stock of the glue press. Do you have any insight of when the glue press might be available to purchase from Simon Says Stamp or other retailers?
I'm sorry, I don't.
I think you’re doing a wonderful job multitasking!
Wonderful sale, but we are late to party and big stuff$$$ sold out. My heart is broken. Wanted a misti to replace my old broken different brand when I was beginning. But great sale!🎉
Good morning, Jennifer!! I'm hearing you wonderfully!! 🥰

I love your videos, you are very easy to follow along with.....keep em coming I am learning so much!
Thank you for taking time out of your Saturday to do this live. Happy New Year!
Happy New Year Jennifer. You do such a awesome videos..can't wait to see more this new year!!
Happy new year almost Jennifer! Hope 2024 is a good one for you and your family!
I always love your videos. Thank you for sharing with us today. You're my hero. Happy New Year.
Awesome video. Watched the replay. I don’t make cards but follow you, Cathy Z, Bethadilly. Lol. Love watching you all.
Happy New Year to you and I hope your shoulder continues to improve. Loved your video.
Missed the live but, always love your videos. Thanks!
Hello from Butte, MT
I really like this type of video. Thank you.
Thanks so much for the video! Your mass production of sentiments will be so helpful! Great video! I hope you have a great New Year & that Lives are becoming less stressful.
Which categories would you store your card crafts? I have a huge mess. It keeps me from creating.
Happy New Year to you and yours!!!🎉🎉🎉 love impromptu live!
Appreciate everything you do Jennifer. Happy new year
Omg! Yes regarding only resting when everyone is home!
I really enjoyed your video. I have learned so many techniques from you so thank you! Question: I noticed your waffle flower mat moved inside your Misti. Did it lose the stickiness? I just bought one and welcome any suggestion to keep it sticky. Thanks again and happy new year!
no i have a grid attached to the back so the back isn't sticky.
Oh, so the grid on the back helps you line everything up!
Just wash it with mild soap and water. Allow it to air dry.
We could have been happy to have you take some time off.
You are so generous to us in your offerings.
PS: I know what you mean about having them all home. 😢😊
Thank you for taking the time to do a video. Happy New Year to you and the family
I am looking at the listed favorites and lots are sold out with a notify me button. Will I still get 30% off when the products come in?
I do what you do by stamping the whole set, but I glue that to a magnetic sheet and put the appropriate die over the wording so I don’t have to hunt for the proper die.
If you can only have one or the other would you advise to buy the foil machine or the better press ?
That's a hard question to answer because they do such different things. But what you think you would use more often.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ I think I saw you put that die you are missing in with the dies where you were showing us how to store them over the stamped sentiments xo
Question: Have you used a Simon Says 3-d embossing folder with the Empress die cut machine?
Loved this video! I wish you and your family a Blessed and healthy 2024!
Great video! Love the idea of mass producing sentiments. I just purchased a sentiments banner die from
Altenew and was wondering how to maximize its use … now I know👍!
I have another question. Honeybee has the Spellbinders shears on their site, but they are sold out. Do you think the 30% reduction be available when the shears are back in stock?
I don't know. That is a question for Honey Bee.
You always have such great ideas. I find myself stopping the video to go shopping multiple times during each video I watch. Lol.
