Are all of your educational materials on sale for black Friday? I just got very excited! I'm through shopping for Christmas, but his education is most important and I love a good bargain.
Loved loved your video!!! 🎄❤️ I ordered the Christmas cookie book and will await the new curriculum Thanks Jessica I love you did all the planning for me and I can now buy it / book and have holiday homeschool plans with my daughter!
Do you do mail time with any of your followers? My daughter, also Emily, is 9 yrs old and we’re starting mail time/pen pals too. Right now it’s just family and close friends. I thought it was a great idea. We’re just looking to add other kids to our list & I figured the “Emily’s” would enjoy writing to someone they’ve never met and get a different perspective from letters from kids from different areas of our country. I understand if you don’t just thought I’d ask 😊
I love this video, thank you for sharing! I was curious where you got your box for the centers? I've checked a few places that have crafty stuff but can't find anything big enough (and I don't want to do Hobby Lobby which I'm sure has them!)
I just ordered A Muppets Christmas Carol picture book. I'm so excited! It's my favorite movie (or one of. There are so many). I also bought new chapter books that are set at Christmas to assign my kids for the season. Everyone reading, quietly, a Christmas book, by the fire with hot cocoa and cookies...❤️❤️❤️
Always love the show and tell videos for the wide variety of perspectives on the chosen topics. I was hoping I could request a future topic of how to deal with FOMO in a multi-kid or coop homeschool setting. I am in my second year, last year was smooth with only my daughter but this year I added in preschool for my son and my daughter complains that he gets to do so much fun stuff to the point she will pout, cry and refuse to do her work and create constant struggle between her and me. It is very frustrating. We do some family subjects as a compromise, but she still needs to do wirk alone at her level. I am hoping that others have faced this and can offer advice!
Great plans! We will be pausing our normal unit study and do the DIY Homeschooler's Silent Night mini Unit study with his normal math and our mini book advent calendar. And lot of arts and crafts things.
World Market is also a great place to find holiday treats from around the world. I was just getting started on planning my own holidays around the world unit, but I think I’ll just wait for you to release yours instead! Loved this video🎄
This sounds amazing! When do you start the holiday home schooling? Like, now or after Thanksgiving? We have lots of Christmas traditions, but not really homeschool specific. My favorite is probably going to cut down our Christmas tree. You've given me lots of new ideas here! ❤️ 🎄
I love all these ideas and can't wait to see the day in a life holiday schooling!!! I haven't even thought about it yet. We usually just continue as usual, but might try to add more fun and holiday themed learning this year.
We do a lot of our homeschool/learning at Disney World and our favorite thing is being able to go learn about how Christmas and the holidays are celebrated by different cultures around the world! Your unit studies sounds great :)
After finding your channel a few months ago, I got inspired to do “Christmas school” with my 5 & 7 year old. I am so excited!! I found a spot it Christmas game on Etsy to print and grabbed a few new books and games. Our morning basket will have How Winston delivered Christmas (so cute)! We will also be studying the Nutcracker, and have a gingerbread cookie and house day! I got your polar express unit for us to do also, and I’m super excited for that day!! 🎄 Thanks so much for all your great ideas! Can’t wait to check out your Black Friday sale! 💞
I love the Christmas box center!! I totally want to do this with my kindergartner this year. And when my 1 year old gets old enough, she can have her own Christmas box center!
Thank you for sharing and inspiring me. I know there are Peter Rabbit and Paddington books with letters in them but not sure if they do Christmas ones.
I love all of the stuff you do. We're doing Christmas around the world this year, too -- I wasn't as detailed in my video as I should have been....I wish I had explained more of what we're doing....but in reality we ARE very laid back in December as we're doing Year Round Homeschooling this year for the first time.
You inspired me to step up my game. I'll have to think about what all I can add, but I love all your suggestions. Thank you!
Dear Father Christmas by Alan Durant would be a great addition to your mail time Mondays 💌
Thank you for the recommendation!
Letters from Father Christmas by J.R.R. Tolkien is a beautiful book with letters in it :-)
Thank you!

The Christmas Carol outschool class sounds fun, but my son is super shy. Do the kids have to participate or can they just watch and learn? Thanks!
They do not have to have their cameras on. Mary is super understanding and respectful of that in all of her book clubs.
@@TheWaldockWay Thanks!
This is such a fun Show & Tell topic. Thank for taking the time to share how you plan to school during the holidays.....so many great ideas!!!
Loved loved your video!!! 🎄❤️

All great ideas that I'm going to copy! The only thing in addition we're doing is 25 Christmas science experiments from elemental science.

We start the day after Thanksgiving, so Black Friday is our first family fun Friday.
Where did you find the box you use for centers? I am having a hard time finding one that is big enough.
Michael's!
I was able to find old chapter books for all three Home Alone books and for Elf online.
I love all these ideas and can't wait to see the day in a life holiday schooling!!! I haven't even thought about it yet. We usually just continue as usual, but might try to add more fun and holiday themed learning this year.

We have done the Holiday Festival at Epcot MANY times. It is THE BEST!!!!
What version of a Christmas Carol do you watch? Would love to do something similar with your movie and book tradition :-)
We like the Muppets!
Love all the games suggestions and the fact that they are small and could make great stocking stuffers!
Yes! So many would make GREAT stocking stuffers.

We will be doing a unit study on food, art and crafts for The Nutcracker as well as a book advent with themed crafts/food and activities each day 👦
I love the Christmas book and movie night. We regularly do Friday movies but i may have to find some of these Christmas books to match our movies
Do it! It's so much fun!
