- Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment today revealed the launch trailer for Batman: Arkham Knight. With the highly anticipated game launching on June 24, the trailer highlights what it takes to Be The Batman and features the recently released track “Mercy” from Muse’s seventh studio album, Drones, which debuted at Number One on the ARIA Album Chart last week.

I came back for the song, but stayed for Gordon's monolog about Batman. It makes me think a lot about Kevin Conroy himself. May he rest in peace, and thank him for the wonderful memories.

I watched Muse a few days ago at their Simulation Theory tour and I was surprised when this song was part of their set. It was definitely my favorite song of the night.

i really doubt they made this gordon monologue and all the batfamily together shots just for trailers. i never realized how much stuff got cut out of the game.. like.. i feel like there was gonna be a whole Batman funeral in it.. such wasted potential

I Think the same something strange happened to this game
More than anything, I think that rocksteady got WAY too ambitious for the deadlines and had to make cuts considering it already got delayed once that we know of publicly (could have been targeting a late 2013/ early 2014 release for all we know. Reveal trailers are done after they have a pretty firm idea of when a product will launch after internal delays). Warner bros has been pretty generous with rocksteady concerning suicide squad kill the justice league's rocky development especially. Most employers would have a fit with a game project getting cancelled, changed, and restarted multiple times over multiple years with no sense of identity till late in development.
All those cuts probably ended up being what Gotham Knights is gonna be.
One of the best fucking trailer in the whole gaming history, I still come here to watch it after years. Masterpiece
