A Year of Diving Cape Town: Best of 2022

Billions of tiny light particles refracting, scattering, dissipating as it journeys to reach the surface ocean.
The sun sends her light to the kelp, having to battle to get through space, the atmosphere, the lithosphere and then,
the water.
As the light hits the surface over 50% of it’s energy gets reflected right back. The small percent that makes it gets scattered into a million different directions.
Some only reach a mere few centimetres before being absorbs, while the lucky few that remain reach the shallow kelp beds.
That’s when the love affair happens. Sunlight kisses and caress the kelp as it flows with the ocean currents!
How extraordinary?
A love affair like no other!
