Love the new CVO and like you said after riding it it's even better. And not to criticize anyone's opinion to each his own. I am curious though when people say " it doesn't wow me " I would like to know what would wow them ? Not being critical just being curious.
Seen it in person in Milwaukee. I like everything but the front fairing on the road glide. Looks better in person than pics. definitely. Maybe it will grow on me. But as of now, it’s a hard no. Looks ridiculous
I ride a lot like you, At times sporty and fast... Not ridiculous but def play around at times..... Little spurts here and there and always trying to limit potential issues.

CVO’s have always been pricey. They are Unique,loaded with goodies and Fun. I loved mine for 100 thousand Miles.

Looks nice . Hate the price. And any bike with a ipad for a screen isnt a harley. Ruins the entire bike
