Ive been trying to learn this for years. Thanks my dude. I even had a dream last night about explaining what i know to a friend. Funny the next morning i find this video.
I came up with this technique because the other methods are way too tedious and time consuming, but you can confirm it's accuracy by either watching Erik Olson's perspective series at www.nma.art/instructors/erik-olson/ or reading about it at: www.handprint.com/HP/WCL/perspect4.html Also if you're new to linear perspective or just need a refresher check out my "fundamentals of linear perspective in under 4 minutes" video. If you have any questions let me know!
@@kuyajaypiA rotating cube tutorial is something I've been thinking about, but need time to figure out how to make it fast and easy. Thanks for the request Kuya!
@@darthfurby do you happen to know how to find the center of vision on a picture that is pretty much 2 point perspective? when the image is not cropped, then it's probably in the center, but once it's cropped, i am not sure where to find it
@@kuyajaypi Great question. Yes you can find the sp, unfortunately I don't have time to explain it but the answer can be found here: www.nma.art/courses/a-complete-guide-to-perspective-for-artists-with-erik-olson/
I don't think this works if the angle at vanishing points isn't acute. This puts the vision point outside of the triangle, which makes the following step impossible. I don't know, maybe that kind of perspective just doesn't occur in nature, just something I was trying out.
Your cube is dawn far away from the center of vision i think making it skewed. I guess my question is do you know or have any sources that show how to draw maybe a grid diffentiating the peripheral area from the central area?
Sorry missed this question. You are right, i drew the cube too far and too big outside the cone of vision(which is placed at the center vision, i discuss the cone in other perspective videos, but it gets kinda technical) causing distortion. The cone of vision should be around 30 to 60 degrees, i may make a tutorial at some point showing how to draw the cone since its easy enough, but generally its best to make the cube as small as possible and as close to the center of vision as possible to avoid reality breaking distortion.
Hi there! I am so sorry to bother you about something unrelated but this is the only lead I've got. About 13 years ago you did a newground animation called Banana, and at some point you changed it, getting rid of the song. I've been looking on and off for that song for years and I've never been able to find it. If there is any way at all you could spare a minute to give me the title of it I would be eternally grateful. Google has gotten me nowhere and I'm just about out of ideas lol. Thank you for your time!!!
I may have that song backed up on an old hard drive somewhere, but if so it will take a while to find. I can't promise that I still have it but will see what I can do.
Thanks for the drawing process. When I was drawing a cube in the 3rd perspective, the results were not correct, and it was completely solved. and could I ask a question if I don't know?
i... get it now..

wow this was very quick and simple, great video tutorial!
Thanks again! I try to make them as short and easy as possible based on feedback from previous videos.
@@darthfurby Could you make a video about how to rotate stuff in 3 point perspective? That'd be amazing!!!

No, since the triangle should be a section of cubes corner, which would always produce triangle with three acute angles.
