Great to hear from you, Stan. Here is hoping that you have a full and exhausting four months of fishing and processing of those fish. Thanks for sharing your life with us.
Stan, you would be surprised how much your videos and lifestyle mean to people. The more videos you can make, the more views you get, the more money you can make. Thanks for doing them!
Absolutely beautiful.. Myself living in central Florida seeing the ocean every day.... Id trade in the wink of an eye... Thank you for sharing your Awsome video👍👍👌👌🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Stan, I really enjoy keeping up with what's going on with you, and your families life style! Your videos are so interesting, thanks for sharing with us!
Stan.... been watching you on Yukon man... very impressed by your work ethic, Mc guyver skills and just your demeanor! Grateful to see your You tube channel and videos. Sta well!
It’s fun fishing Stan. It’s exhausting four months of fishing wow. I wish i could get yes! In I have more ocean experience. Catching salmon and halibut I need to do that on my own.
It's really nice . I do it cause it's what I want to do. Others sometimes come here and hate the blackflies and mosquitoes and lack of conveniences, cold, physical labor, dirt and blood, etc. I think it's the difference in lifestyle that people are interested in and I enjoy showing that to those who like to see it. I believe in it as a better way to live.
Hi Stan, great video! I'm from Germany and I'm a great fan of you, your family and all the Tanana people and I loved the show pretty much!! So sad that it's over now :( I also love your RUclips channel...would be just great if you could upload a few more videos regularly...perhaps one short video per week about whats going on in Tanana and your lives! Not a high-tech-thing but would just be nice to see you a little more often on air and get some information ;) Greetings from a great fan from Germany and hope you have a nice day and much success with fishing kings! :) Fab / Nightfox
I really hope to make some cool family/people videos this summer. Made some how to, no people -except me, ones last summer and said next year wanted to get everyone in them. Family agreed to it so we'll see.
Thanks for your answer! That sounds really great, get them all in if they want to...I think a lot of people would love to see you all again ;) But if not, some footage about nature, dogs, trapping and hunting would also be great. I hope you all are well and wish you all the best! PS: I'm going to buy your book Carry On the next days, really looking forward to read it!
Glad to see you are doing good up there Stan... hope the fish hit ya big this year! Thanks for a tour of your little slice of Yukon heaven there Buddy! Just Beautiful!
Hey Stan, love seeing you guys keep the wheels turning (pun intended). I always thought those were really awesome tools to help survive and feed your families. I got to say, I enjoy this just as much, if not more than the show. No dramatic build ups for nothing, or commercial interruptions haha.
I live in Wisconsin and I think it's gods country where I live but that is some beautiful land scapes there. You'd love to cast a line in those waters. Great video bud
Those fish wheels must have strong anchor points to resist the current or any floating debris day after day. Also, they don't bob up and down much in the current.
Breath taking scenery... can I ask what you paid for your land there Stan, and how much property you have?? Really want to get out of Crapifornia when my kids are grown up....
We are squatting as do almost everyone else. Many of these camps go back to pre contact so It's hard to call it squatting. A few are legal homesteads however.
Nice to see you again Stan, I think you don't have to feel sorry for the motor sound, you're not going to row your butt off to make a video :) Also thank you for a little bit of history in the description, I order your book, looks very nice, some talent there and for that price I could buy them all and give them away, I wish you all the best and sells :)
Stan, I'm curious as to what your family eats for protein, other than fish. Do you eat fish every day? Are there grocery stores close by for other essentials? I never tire of watching the videos, the series and anything I can find. Best of luck and God bless, from Mobile, Alabama.
Stan it is great to see you posting here, very much miss your show. I cannot believe you only have 8k subs. I'm just over 13k on mine for timber framing...would you be ok with me sharing your channel to my viewers?
That would be great. I'm a pretty basic RUclips / Facebook user. How does one share another's channel - I was doing it by subscribing to channels as I just did yours. Like your new TheTradesmanChannel Trailer for 2018 . Running a King salmon data collection with young people and got a barge of lumber coming tomorrow for housing. Need some people who can build like that.
Stan Zuray I apologize for the late reply, it just came up in my notifications. What I do to share channels is mention them in the video and then I copy and paste a link into my video description. I'm going to do a shout out to your channel in the next one I do myself, my wife has been filling in on the channel as I recover. Pretty soon though I'm going to get back in that barn and get to work. Amazing what this technology does for us isn't it? Crazy to think of it, almost scary.
Stan Zuray another thing, you're a pretty good builder yourself. Those fish wheels are a marvel. Lot of things here in the lower 48 we take for granted and when I watch the Yukon Men reruns I can see how hard it must be for you folks to get materials and so on.
Hi again Stan good to see the wheels turning hope there producing well how’s joey getting on ?? Just wish u had more time to show us more loved the show keep up the good work hopefully see more videos soon
Nice video! Me, my brother and two friends paddled The yukon river from Carcross Canada - Emmonak in 2016. I remember the rapids in your video and we stoppad and talked to a nice man who (if i remember it right) was the former owner of your home. He was out fishing in a boat. We asked him if he knew Gus Norder who lived a bit upriver from Tanana and luckely for us he knew him quite well. Gus had his roots in Sweden and my father met him back in 1966 when he was paddeling the same trip. Did you know Gus?
You Talked to Russ Wood I believe. Russ is my neighbor here again. I did know Gus a little. Was at his camp at 12 miles upriver from Tanana and saw him in Tanana at times. Know the people well who bought his mining claim land at 12 mile.
With the shear number of those fish, it should be nearly impossible not to catch them. Granted, given the horrific over population of the carp, the traps would most likely have to be emptied twice or thrice daily!
How long is the season Stan? How much you hoping to catch to keep you going in the winter? Also love your videos keep them coming. Great job buddy! Hope to see Yukon men soon!
Stan! Wow , just happened across the video! How lucky can I get ! I am a very big fan of you and your Son! I like a few others on the TV show , but not all!! Lol!! Question, is there anything I can send you ,to help you and your family ??? Let me know, Please ! I would be so happy to help good people like you. !! Bless you and your family! Say Hi to your Son !! You have raised a very good Man!!! Contact me!!!!!
Great tour and explanation of the differences between the 3 wheels. What happens to these wheels in the winter? Are they towed somewhere or are they wrenched up the shore
In our area much of the soil has to be built up (fish fertilizer from by products of fish camp help greatly) as it is pure silt under moss, tussock, black spruce etc. ground cover but that said the summers are quite warm and he long days make for good growing for many crops. Potatoes, peas, cabbage, zucchini, chards and lettuce, broccoli all do good. Beans, corn, tomatoes, peppers, melons all need greenhouses or special help.
They limit us to time not amount depending on strength of run. I dry my dog food and no salting. Check out our other videos on cutting strips and dry fish and dog food
Hi Stan ! Had no idea you had yourself a YT channel, just happened across it but anyway my question is what has been your largest catch of fish on a one time check of your fish wheel ? Wondering in Nova Scotia Canada Thanks
My live box holds about 200 10 lb. fish. I have filled that before. I have seen other wheels and nets with twice that much fish before however. I feed my dogs all fall, winter and part of spring on 12-1400 fall dog salmon that I catch each year in one to two days but that takes many checks of the wheel or nets. There is little game and other animals per square mile up here but fish are incredibly plentiful at times. I know that type of fishing seems hard to believe or accept but it is a dying lifestyle and was many, many time more prevalent years back.
Hello Stan, put more videos friend. Your videos are great! Greetings from São Luís Maranhão Brazil 🇧🇷

Hey Stan, love seeing you guys keep the wheels turning (pun intended). I always thought those were really awesome tools to help survive and feed your families. I got to say, I enjoy this just as much, if not more than the show. No dramatic build ups for nothing, or commercial interruptions haha.
Love your video's Stan. Would like to come spend a week with you and learn.
Have a great season one and all,
I live in Wisconsin and I think it's gods country where I live but that is some beautiful land scapes there. You'd love to cast a line in those waters. Great video bud
I like your vids man
I wish I was there
That’d be cool to make a scaled down version for a smaller side creek, for trout or grayling etc!
Needs to be in cloudy or silty water so the fish can't see it.
Love your videos Stan! Best regards from Sweden!
Interesting as heck, never seen a fish wheel before...
Hi Steve from Dublin Ireland. Hope all is well with you
Beautiful area fella, thanks for the video.
Those fish wheels must have strong anchor points to resist the current or any floating debris day after day. Also, they don't bob up and down much in the current.
They are pretty big to bob. Use 1/2 inch cable run to very strong anchor points on shore
Great boat ride and commentary. Namaste
My god... That place is beautiful.
Beautiful! Thank you for posting!
Hey Stan thanks for the video my man

Stan, I'm curious as to what your family eats for protein, other than fish. Do you eat fish every day? Are there grocery stores close by for other essentials? I never tire of watching the videos, the series and anything I can find. Best of luck and God bless, from Mobile, Alabama.
We eat lots of moose meat and some caribou. We get lots of protein really
Me to! more stuff Stan!

I’d love to come out to Alaska and start a new life! Different from Scotland
I miss you Stan the Yukon Man I’m a fan,
Anyone still in Rampart? My Grandfather came from Sweden 1905 and mined gold in Rampart till 1910-12 one of these days I'm coming up.
Rampart has 50 - 100 in summer and enough in winter to keep a school open. Flights into Rampart from Fairbanks often enough.
They sure werent killin the fish that day,,lol
good video.
Thanks. ✌🏻👊🏼
Hi again Stan good to see the wheels turning hope there producing well how’s joey getting on ?? Just wish u had more time to show us more loved the show keep up the good work hopefully see more videos soon
Joe is well. Been to fish camp already but racing his boat at moment in Yukon 800.
Love your stuff Gk Uk 🇬🇧
Damn man I wonder if thereve been any sturgeons up the Yukon in ancient times perhaps?
??
Nice Video Stan!!, I'm also wondering if there will come a new season of Yukon Men?
No new Yukon Men in the works but lots of reruns and redoes airing I hear.
Stan Zuray that sucks nevermind my comment found out here have a good one
Stan is probably tired of the filming stuff.....

Fish camp is a 4 month thing for me but less for many.
Stan i love watching your Videos
And i watch Yukon men the movie
I heard lampreys are good eating. An eel subspecies fatty skin, good smoking fish.
Stan! Wow , just happened across the video! How lucky can I get ! I am a very big fan of you and your Son! I like a few others on the TV show , but not all!! Lol!! Thank you but we are good here and I appreciate the thought. Some people in the cities seem to have it so much rougher than us.
Great tour and explanation of the differences between the 3 wheels. What happens to these wheels in the winter? Are they towed somewhere or are they wrenched up the shore
Two go to Tanana and pulled out by bulldozer. Check out my video on pulling a fishwheel to see how I do mine.
Wondering if a few of these along the Mississippi and related rivers would help reduce the Asian carp over population.
Does not work as well on non migrating fish so not sure about carp. The wheel uses their upstream movement to catch them.
What time of the year do they go in and out of the water? Sounds crazy but the rolling hills remind me of my time in Costa Rica.Great stuff Stan.
Wheels in and running by June 15th and out around Sept 20th.
Awesome video Stan. Thank you for the upload. How much longer will you run gear for? Did the run just start?
Just starting and 3 months to go before we pull the wheel and nets.
Nice video. but you should have started out with an explanation of what a fish wheel is.
Awesome
Hey Stan I know it has nothing to do with fish but how’s the soil up there are you able to maintain crops? With a green house and such.
In our area much of the soil has to be built up (fish fertilizer from by products of fish camp help greatly) as it is pure silt under moss, tussock, black spruce etc. ground cover but that said the summers are quite warm and he long days make for good growing for many crops. Stan, hello from Russia! I really like the show when it's a new season?
As best I know the show is on hold until and if some channel picks it up again. Not holding my breath as I have said before.
thank you Stan! you're a real man!
Hi Stan is there a limit to the amount you can catch do you clean out the fish or just salt them down for the dogs
They limit us to time not amount depending on strength of run. I dry my dog food and no salting. Check out our other videos on cutting strips and dry fish and dog food
