I have the Rane 12s mk2s I can do the same thing with no record spin if I'm using the USB outputs but if I'm using the phono outputs DVS mode the record has to spin for silent cue.
when i am using hot cues and then starting to play the track and the platter rotates, the track hangs on and the beatmatch is ruined. even when i am using sync.Is there a solution for it?
If you’re cuing into a track, just have the platter spinning and hit cue and cut the fader in. There’s can sometimes be a little hiccup when you start the platter so this technique is better used for a cut in type transition rather than a blend
@@DJMADGUN it's less a technical problem with the rane one and more about how the spinning platters work - there's a split second when Serato has to switch from playing internally and when it engages the platter sensors. The same thing happens on the Pioneer REV7 as well.
@@DJMADGUN you're best of leaving the technique in this video to a quick cut and using classic platter release technique when you want to mix in another track over top of a playing track.
Please forgive my ignorance, how does the mixer know that the deck is spinning if the needle isn’t on the record? What’s that thing called.. I think I need it .. 😁
it is not - it's a loaner for the review i wrote. You can read about it here: djtechtools.com/2021/01/12/rane-one-first-look-review-the-rane-feeling-in-a-all-in-one-dj-controller/
it becomes a DVS mixers with all the pluses and minuses behind it. Honestly, I have no idea why anyone would use this with DVS. It's only 2 channels and the platters feel very close to turntables. Vinyl I could understand, but not DVS...
I don't agree with you but I respect your pov. So if you are doing fast pad routines without silent cue you need to use 2 fingers for press the pad and the start stop buttom so you will probably lost the time and fail your mixes.
That’s a pretty specialized case. Most people are using silent cue to just launch a track at the start. You can also place you cues in whatever order you like - so if you don’t want them at there then change them. If you’re doing high level tablist routines, I’d probably be using something other than a Rane one since the crossfader on it is meh anyway
Didn't even think of that! Thanks for posting, very helpful!
Great point and explanation. Thank you
thank you get video no one else thought about this I almost canceled my pre order!
That’s what sup. Interesting 👍. Thank you

@@djsoo thank you! This technique is good but i am wondering about the „hiccups“. Do you think this is a technical problem by rane one?

I don't even use the cue button on my Rane one lol...
Just use Start/stop and Hotcues. Is that bad?!?!

Great video. What about with the Rane 12?
Hi Soo is that Rane your personal controller, and how do you like it. Enjoying your mixes by the way.

So What Happens if Someone Uses the Rane One As A Mixer and Adding TurnTables to it?

Long time I want to know that
Shout out from the serato forums. Dj Nix
Same with the cue button. Works just like the CDJ
Yup - I forgot about the temp cue button - works exactly the same way

And you always have to set up your cue points near than start button that is inefective for finger drumming or toneplay routines!

Thanks for the video bro 😎
HI SOO.
sup alex!
cue buttons + beatgrids + silent cue= robot jukebox DJ
You don’t have to use any of that if you don’t want to.
@@djsoo I know this and as of current I dont.
