The $38 was for a la carte lobster roll? The small one? Reminds me of the sticker shock I felt in Alaska when an Alaskan King Crab leg lunch was $95 in Juneau. I love crab...but not that much. :)
We'll be on the Enchanted Princess for this cruise next September (doing a B2B from September 20 to October 4; there will be an additional Canadian port on the second half). It will be our first time on the East Coast (we live in California). If we could only get to one part of Newport, would you suggest the walk down Broadway or the visit to Bowen's wharf? (Mobility issues may mean we can only do one or the other.) Since we'll be stopping there twice, we'll probably do an actual excursion one of the times.
I don't think I would enjoy that location of Sabatini's at all. It was very loud and I don't care for loud during dinner. I'm glad the food was good. We were on Caribbean Princess in September and my birthday dinner at Sabatini's was disappointing. I had a better quality steak in the MDR than I had there. It wasn't terrible; it just wasn't great. That was the ONLY disappointment for that cruise though...so no complaints. The rest was wonderful!
Your going to have such an amazing time, this ship was on my top 10 overall! Yes, the wharf was worth walking, loved all the restaurants and shopping! Pass on Sabatini's if over all the other choices. The seafood restaurant was the best overall. 360 is a must, I watched for my table while dining in the steakhouse and wished I booked it.
