The Hobie Lynx thing is not a new concept. You could buy peddle powered kayaks going back at least 15 years. Some have a tilt down propeller (like a boat) and some have the same system as the Hobie with the paddles. One thing is for sure, they have always been crazy expensive. $2700 for a peddle powered kayak. You would have to really love the sport.
