There is a reason it looks cheaper in these areas. Oxnard has decades of corruption & crime it cant distance from & so sad for ocean community. Their sewer system is ancient. Simi is a wasteland and is called Sarcoma Valley due to city council approving & building homes on top of 1959 partial nuclear meltdown toxic site where the soil & water are questionable & continue to divide city

I, used to live in Simi Valley from 1965- 1996, now I live Chatsworth and I have lived here for 11 years.....Times have changed and our little town has grown from 50 thousand to almost 200 thousand and it was a dust bowl ......When my parents and our family moved to Simi Valley, my mom still there in the same neighborhood ever since and all of us kids have moved on to other cities, such as Camarillo, Northridge, Box Canyon and me of course Chatsworth......The was a lot of good times with good friends and good neighbors and it was the end of our street and the fields could go for miles, if you wanted to go hiking to Agoura Hills......It's that close!

We moved there in fall if 69..I came from a 4 yr HS district but was supposed to be a 9th grader at sequoia but it wasnt finished yet so they sent us to simi high..my stepdad hired on to the ventura county sheriff's dept..helped set up the SAR program We lived right next the the park adjoining sequoia and the elementary school..interesting side note..that park was supposed to be a private park and pool ( pools since been filled in )..for the Tempo and Encore tract homes built adjoining it..but the city was deeded it in exchange for rezoning favors by Larwin Homes...(huge scandal about that )...the Encore tract only encompassed about 55 homes on Aztec..Acorn and Lucas cts..along with a stretch of Hietter ...Encore homes where larger and mostly 2 story . The old Santa Susanna airport was still active and had a small flight school...we'd ride dirt bikes up to the old wash next to the Texas tract called Footprint...or down the la ave wash to the pass road to sneak into Hopetown...sat nights in the old thriftys parking lot on tapo for cruise night...that side of tapo wasnt in the city yet..simi cops would watch burnouts and two light pole length races from across the st at Vons..I got my first ticket from a then simi pd reserve officer named Ainsworth ( which i beat) who was also a teacher at simi high..I saw a news bit on cbs news once with him and he was a Lt i think by then. The simi pd raid of the party at lemon drive fiasco...the guys at the TPCK house..the purple cow klan..for the fiberglass cow they stole from the chase bros dairy down by royal..lol Muntz cycle park..simi drive in..larwin square..fred and noras Italian deli....nickle ice creams at thriftys...the little chase bros drive in diary on tapo and cochran....good times...our house was about a 40k back then..now it's a half mill and simis just another cookie cutter bedroom community...but it was a pretty fun place to spend some teen yrs in back then

So we decided to buy a house here right off of Madera beautiful quite neighborhood so far Lol 😂 but my favorite spot here is the Ronald Reagan Library right behind us up the hill....... My home town, we lived in the 1st tract of homes, the Greek Tract, 269 Aristotle Street. There were nothing but horse ranches and orange groves back then, the only way in and out of Simi was one way, the Old Pass Road. There was nothing behind us but White Face Mountain, that was it.. What do I think of? After moving across country and then coming back, driving over the hill and then seeing Whiteface Mountain, I know I am home.

Simi is a beautiful place to live. I lived there for 24 years in the Bridle Path, an equestrian area. Upon retiring though, I left in a big hurry. The biggest problem with Simi is it's in California.
My family has lived here since 1960. Great then. Im fourth gen in Simi. Stay away. My car was stolen last month and people are rude. Do not buy here or believe these con realtors.They are not true Simi.Democrats Not welcome. Keep out of our town.

My family has lived here since 1960. Great then. Im fourth gen in Simi. Stay away. My car was stolen last month and people are rude. Do not buy here or believe these con realtors.They are not true Simi.Democrats Not welcome. Keep out of our town.
