Eggman/Robotnik too, they’re just goofy, egocentric scientists that want to take over the world just so they can be taken seriously. But they fail all the time and that’s what’s so funny about them.
It's all about personality. No need for backstory.

I don't actually mind the console version all that much, despite how dissimilar it is to... every Crash game before it, and the gameplay is at least solid and kinda fun.
If the DS version were a bit longer I would easily consider it the better game. As it stands I enjoy them equally, but for different reasons.
@@chadwarden1179 I didn't really care for Nina's sections all that much, but I was happy to see Dingodile back and relatively unchanged.
I honestly think the main thing holding the DS version back for me is the number of levels. I know it's on a handheld system, but I feel it could have done with at least a couple more. Both versions of the game have long levels, but the console version also has double that of the DS version.

@@chadwarden1179 With the exception of Crash 3, the bosses were never that great in Crash games anyway, so not fighting them isn't really a big issue for me.
@@chadwarden1179 That is true, and it is something I will give the DS version over the console version. I just didn't think they were all that noteworthy (except Dingodile, and that's mostly just because he's actually in the game).

Funnily enough, the DS version of Crash of the Titans was my fist ever Crash Bandicoot game, so when I figured out that Cortex didn't always have a dancin' robot, I was a bit disappointed...

yeah. Thinking about it, the Cortexbot was honestly kinda a really weird design for a HQ. Especially considering that some of the gaps on the elevators are wide enough to fall through.

I just realized this is basically the plot of Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
So something that was most definitely unintentional but neat that I noticed was that this and Domination Army each capture one half of Cortex.
AtDB is more lighter, faster, and a bit more upbeat, like the goofy bumbling dork Cortex is in a lot of things (Twinsanity)
Meanwhile DA is a slower, low pitched, and has a more sinister undertone, like the cunning, more threatening Cortex from the PS1 version of the original trilogy.

This song, with its vocoded words, is so freaking good in and of itself.
Then, you toss in the legendary Long John Baldry as Robotnik just popping in for no good reason and spitting fast, hot lyrics… and the song becomes _perfection._

What if Dr. Neo is kind character, but doing good things is just bore him, so instead he is cunningly conseal plans to entertain people by acting as a villain? Maybe appearing of the Crash bandicoot isn’t coincidence too, Crash is also Dr. Neo’s invention and through bandicoot scientists plans can fulfill their original purpose
