    Ma'am, apart from the fore hand grip, can we also use the pan handle grip to execute this shot if we receive the bird right in front of our middle chest portion?

    • @CoachKennieAsuncion
      @CoachKennieAsuncion  4 года назад +1

      I personally am not fond of the pan handle grip although i know other people use it and has worked for them. I just feel that shifting the pan handle grip to a backhand grip takes longer but do check it out and try for yourself what works for you! 😁🏸

    Your teachings are very neat & understandable.great work !! I have a doubt in drive : as u said in the Vdo y tall players need to avoid drive with short players! Can u pls explain in detail..because am a tall player as of now am not noticed any difference when I play drive shots with short opponents.also pls share how to practice to neutral on the game!! I feel bit nervous when I start playing on tournaments,sometimes I will do continuous error if any of the shots gone wrong.how to control oneself in the game apart from meditation or doing yoga!! Thanks am started following your vdos recently ur doing great😊👍

    • @CoachKennieAsuncion
      @CoachKennieAsuncion  4 года назад +2

      Thank you! I’m glad you like my teaching/coaching style. With regards to drive and with the things i say there will be people who wont fall in that group. Usually, tall people have a harder time with drives only because they have to squat more and since arms and legs are longer sometimes they have a harder time bending but if you say you dont have a problem with drive i can believe you as we are all different. Maybe you find that easy and that is great just as we cannot assume everyone’s weakness would be backhand over forehand, we can say maybe majority will have a harder time with backhand but then again there will be players whose weak point might be forehand.
      As for preparations with tournaments and managing nervouseness, i have a video coming up soon tackling those points. But just a bit of a tip for getting nervous... warm up well and do your best to focus on the game play and how you can win points in every rally. Think of those rather than entertaining the nervousness or excitement... 😁🏸 again, thank you!!

    You say if you're tall you shouldn't engage in drive shot exchanges with shorter players. I'm 194cm tall, so most people I play against are shorter than me. Does that mean I should never do a drive shot?

  • @AlexinMadrid

      @CoachKennieAsuncion  5 лет назад +2

      First & foremost, let me say it’s such an honor to recieve a comment from a celebrity like you... back to your comment, when you execute your drives make sure:
      1 your opponent is not waiting or expecting it
      2 do not drive directly to your opponents hand bec he/she will use your strength & return it back to you.
      Hope those are helpful &
      I love your you tube chanel as well!! 😁😁🏸🏸

    Hi coach kennie, what will be a good tension if u are a smasher.

    • @CoachKennieAsuncion
      @CoachKennieAsuncion  4 года назад +1

      Well u have to try it... normally with a head heavy racket a good tension would be 29 or 30 but then again thats personal preference. My brother’s tension is about 29-30 and he’s a smasher. I only use 26-27 tension coz when i tried 29 my elbow hurt maybe the vibration was too much for me... 😁🏸 i hope you find whats best for you....

      For me, racket is all about the feel so i suggest you go to a store or if your friends have these duora Z strike & z force 2 you could try swinging them a bit. I cant say what works for me will work for you. Rackets are a personal preference😁🏸 but in general these 2 rackets are a good choice. 🏸🏸

      Rest for a week 🤔
      If the pain doesn't go away, ask for a scan.
      I had pain just below my patella years ago and I could hardly walk 😭. I stopped playing altogether and the pain went away.
      Channels I would recommend:
      Dr Berg
      Bob and Brad
      I you go to a Dr, they might just prescribe painkillers and steroids 😶. If you are ok with that, then ok. But you should do your own research as well.
      After watching a video. I bought vitamin D spray, for some pain that I have, after watching a Dr Berg video. The things I was eating, were possibly leading to the pain, 😯.
      At least sub to their channels and see if they have info on pain in the area that you feel it 🤔🤔.
      But a scan from a Dr referral is still a good idea. Good luck. 🙏

    Hey
    The grip shown in video is forehand V grip or forehand panhandle grip?
    Note:
    When I drive a shuttle from extreme right i use V grip and pronate forearm to do power drive.
    But if shuttle comes close to centre of body or slightly right I use panhandle grip.
    Is this right or should i change?

    • @CoachKennieAsuncion
      @CoachKennieAsuncion  4 года назад

      The grip i recommend using is the forehand V grip. I hardly use the forehand panhandle grip, although i would recognize that badminton is such a fast sport that sometimes it puts you in a position of using the panhandle grip. 🏸🏸
