I doubt he rushed the process. he had actually extra time to heal due to covid. it's probably just because he wasn't experienced with rehabbing (due to formerly being an iron man) and also because his rehab got disrupted by covid-of course an NBA player had much more resources than 99% of ppl during covid, but i'm sure his trainers couldn't be quite as hands-on as they normally would have been.

I actually love this trade. Warriors dynasty was built around the philosophy of filling a roster with players that can guard every position, and shooters. Anderson is a forward who can shoot and defend guards.
Melton makes sense if GPII is heading out for Lauri, then the moves makes a lot of sense. Alc, this team has been down bad horrendous defensively for two straight seasons now. CP3 and Klay out, they got rid of some of the worst defenders with high minutes and brought in two guys who play tough defense. I'm packing Kuminga's bags myself for Lauri, along with two FRPs to get the deal done. Not Podz or Moody though, that's where it ends. PG - Steph/Podz SG - Melton/Moody SF - Wiggins/Lauri/Moody PF - Lauri/Dray/Kyle C - ?/Dray/TJD The needs are there for a center and another pure shooter or scorer from the bench. The latter being a wing or a perimeter guy.
@@mmakshakwhat’s wrong with this scenario though? I doubt ainge would go for less than a kuminga+FRPs package for lauri. the warriors’ moves so far are okay but it’ll be great signings if they somehow get lauri.
Absolutely underrated on both ends, a team player, yes his game is ugly on the offensive end especially his shot but it does go in. He never hurts his team.
I definitely felt Melton was a GP2 replacement when I heard about his profile. I'm hoping whatever move is left to be made, ideally would involve GP2 and Wiggins to get us something we can rely on, as much as I like GP2.
You mention Anderson as Draymond insurance, my first thought was does this increase the likelihood of moving Kuminga for Lauri? Slo Mo plays the same position as Kuminga and has somewhat of an overlapping skillset, are we really gonna go yet another year where of a Kerr favorite taking all of Kuminga's minutes? It's very close but I think I'd pull the trigger on Lauri even if Kuminga is involved. 27 year old in the prime of his career, would be an Aaron Gordon type perfect time perfect fit pickup and way safer bet than Paul George long term, where it'd sting less giving up JK. Would prob attach Podz instead of Moody just for positional value and having Melton as a backup guard. But mainly I'd do it b/c these under the radar solid moves give us a good foundation of a roster, so I think getting Lauri can actually realistically put us back in the mix in the West.
@@mmakshakif that’s what it takes to get lauri, that’s a move that will make sense. jk, while improved, is still inconsistent based on what he showed last season. lauri gives the warriors a secondary scoring punch that can shoot. he’s also in the middle of his prime so they don’t need to wait for him to develop.
Kyle is gonna run that 2nd unit on the Dubs and will run it well! He's really a point forward so I imagine he will gel just fine with Waters. GP2, TJD, and Moody(if he is still on the team come October.) I'm sure him and Steph will mesh well if Dray is off the floor. He's pretty good on a defensive end too. Good pick up.
Everyone saying its " kyle anderson " its " deanthong melton " LMAO. Otto and Beli were not BIG NAME signings in 2021 but they fit what we wanted to do. Good moves so far
The funny thing about it the warriors should had moved Wiggins contract at the trade deadline last yr …that was a done deal but WARRIORS REFUSED NOW THEY END UP GETTING KLAY INSTEAD NOW WERE STUCK WITH WIGGINS SOMEBODY WHO ONLY PLAYS 40% of the gms 🤷🏾♂️
Not sure what you just said but I have been bitching about Wiggs for the last 2 seasons. Unless he decides to "participate" I sure hope he fkng SHOWS UP AND SHOWS OUT. He always acts like he is visiting. I cannot stand his lack of passion. Wish they had moved on from him.
Great contract and great fit! I see him filling an iguadala and Jarret jack role (leading the bench and finishing games/clutch minutes). He’ll play 2-5 on defense and 1-5 on offense, I agree definelty a Kerr fav right off the bat. He also developed a reliable three, even if it ain’t pretty. I’m happy we signed him. Warriors missing that #2 go to player now. Maybe it’s kuminga, maybe melton, maybe buddy hield (not loving any of these options tho, great role players tho).
I'd give up Wiggins, Santos & 4 picks for lauri markkanen 1. Steph Curry 2. Moses Moody 3. Jonathan Kuminga 4. Draymond Green 5. Lauri Markkanen 6. De'Anthony Melton 7. Brandin Podziemski 8. Gary Payton II 9. Kyle Anderson 10. Trayce Jackson-Davis
I would trade Kuminga for Lauri personally, but it would be tough. I'd want to limit the draft pick compensation if he were included. I just think a Kuminga->Lauri swap is a serious upgrade. It solves the Kuminga playing time issue, and replaces it with a dynamic big man who can shoot. Moody and Podz can also shoot, and so all of a sudden we'd have both the size and the spacing we need around Steph+Dray.
you peep the summer league roster yet? Any plans to go to LV for games like last year. There are some interesting players; Marques Bolden, Mantas Rubštavičius, Roman Sorkin, Daeqwon Plowden and more
we cant give away kuminga no matter what even if it means no more moves this offseason but we need lauri give them all the draft picks lol and most likely podz would and moody would be ideal
I was hoping for a Caruso landing before we lost out to OKC. IMO, Slow Mo is the next best thing. High IQ win-now type of player. MDJ might not have any home runs thus far, but he's getting plenty of hits. Still hoping for something big, though
Unless there’s a big move this offseason the front office might be putting all their chips in on JK and Steph to be enough top lvl talent on the team. I’m for it honestly just fill out the rest of the roaster and get a wigs replacement if available.
I thought warriors were done for. I saw the Melton sign and that was great. Now we got SloMo? While I don't think we're contending, if our young guys especially Kuminga takes a leap, I think we can make it to the playoffs.
Great moves to get Melton and Anderson for more defensive stability rather than relying too much on shooting. I still wouldn’t trade Kuminga or Moody or both for Lauri, as I’m not sure how historically good a floor spacing big has done on the warriors. Maybe it might work, but I would prefer Nic Claxton over Lauri if the price was right or if the situation was right. It seems the nets are rebuilding and maybe if they’re willing to trade Claxton in order to tank with there not being many offers out there, I would be willing to trade Podz if that’s the best upside player available the nets can get and whatever cap space for Nic Claxton. I think Claxton is on a decent contract for 4 years for 100mil so maybe, idk. If Draymond can shoot how he did last year and improve, I would for sure prefer Claxton over Lauri. Defense can lead to good offense with easy points on the fast break, and maybe the warriors can get Buddy Hield to be a 4th splash bro. With the current nba landscape, the warriors might still need a big defensive anchor. However with Kerr’s coaching and Claxton possibly being a liability at the free throw line, I’m not entirely sure. The Celtics have lockdown defenders and a versatile Al Horford, I would prefer that blueprint
he should have been a warriors player..his size n game style fits the warriors perfectly..the warriors been needed players with size who had gaurd type skills …

Any enemy of Gobert is ok with me.. Post is where it’s at in my opinion.. These signings could be a big pivot for a trade for Lauri. Jazz have a plethora of first round picks. They some plug n play players…
I wouldn't give anything for marrekan I would keep the te have RIGHT NOW! Keep the team intact
Draymond Green is 4A starter at the 4 Role Position. Kyle Anderson Will become 4B. 2nd unit to relief Draymond as the defensive focus pro baller 😎 solid pick I approve 👍🏾
I think the Warriors need Kuminga and Lauri together in order to make a real future. Trading Kuminga for Lauri, is trading a first round exit for a second round exit. It's not worth it IMO, since Kuminga is still growing and is already a 20ppg guy at 21 years old.
i actually like all the moves... every single one except I didnt know about Post, I was thinking Brandin Carlsen would be our new 3pt shooting 7 footer or Ariel Hukporti as a Euro African lob threat... Ive always liked Slo Mo...so much that i didnt like him. he was so confounding.... doesnt look like hes moving but hes getting there without looking like hes overpowering anyone, he always roasts us... and for 2 2nd rd picks... Gary is in a spot... both Melton and Reece Beekman fill that role too except they can score for themselves... folks are sleeping on Beekman... @@mettleheart3014he just had hella on court issues which affected the team but every time he was on the court he was doing what dray always did play d and help out curry without dray who is running the offense we know and love bc no one comes close to the chem him and curry got
PG - Steph/Podz
SG - Melton/Moody
SF - Wiggins/Lauri/Moody
PF - Lauri/Dray/Kyle
C - ?/Dray/TJD
The needs are there for a center and another pure shooter or scorer from the bench. The latter being a wing or a perimeter guy.
I like where your head’s at. Maybe Post can be a sneaky backup big for us to use immediately; that was the plan anyway
I cant be mad at that take
I'm glad you're not the Warriors' GM, practice your art.
@@mmakshakwhat’s wrong with this scenario though? I doubt ainge would go for less than a kuminga+FRPs package for lauri. the warriors’ moves so far are okay but it’ll be great signings if they somehow get lauri.
Well i think we just got a shooter in buddy
Yo Alc, what days are you going to summer league? I'll keep an eye out! We also got team USA in Vegas next week!
Absolutely underrated on both ends, a team player, yes his game is ugly on the offensive end especially his shot but it does go in. He never hurts his team.
This dudes sense of humor is underrated. 😂
I'm wondering if you're a Warrior fan, when you talk about giving up JK.
@@mmakshaky’all overrate the hell out of Kuminga bro he’s not lebron 😂
You got my subscription today. I really enjoy your channel .
Would love it if you had some kinda Patreon livestream just to catch up and talk about recent developments over the July 4th break Alch.
slowmo is the new Iggy..now lets find the new Klay!
Start with resigning Lester Quinones.
Yall dreaming, need to do a rebuild
we got buddy hield 👀
Great commentary
I'm not very familiar with Lauri's game, but i don't wanna give up Kuminga - period. I do think Kyle Anderson is a great pickup!
grizzlies fan its a great move i wish we kept hime man i wish him well
Do you think Melton was too
Melton and Anderson. both can handle the ball, defends very well! These two would make impact than stubborn Klay
Two solid additions in Melton and Anderson, all-around ballers, good defense, team first dudes who know there roles and will play them well
Everyone saying its " kyle anderson " its " deanthong melton " LMAO. Otto and Beli were not BIG NAME signings in 2021 but they fit what we wanted to do. Good moves so far
Can someone explain to me if we give up all our assets for Lauri, how he’s the best fit? What will the lineup look like? Play him at the 3 or the 5?
LFG!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALCH WE GOT SLO MOOOOOOOO!!!! Perfect fit.
lets gooo! I love slo mo too, highIQ 👍🏻
Lol
I love fans like you, not these spoiled ass "Warriors fans" that complains and criticizes pretty much everything
They think the front office can just sign any superstar😂
👍 GOOD JOB 💛💙FOR ACQUIRING ANDERSON! HE’ THE KEY IN MINNESOTA IN THEIR SUCCESS! HE HAS AN IQ,DEFENSIVE & OFENSE. UNDERRATED PLAYER👍👍👍
I'd give up Wiggins, Santos & 4 picks for lauri markkanen
1. Steph Curry
2. Moses Moody
3. Jonathan Kuminga
4. Draymond Green
5. Lauri Markkanen
6. De'Anthony Melton
7. Brandin Podziemski
8. Gary Payton II
9. Kyle Anderson
No JK-no matter what.
you peep the summer league roster yet? Any plans to go to LV for games like last year. There are some interesting players; Marques Bolden, Mantas Rubštavičius, Roman Sorkin, Daeqwon Plowden and more
we cant give away kuminga no matter what even if it means no more moves this offseason but we need lauri give them all the draft picks lol and most likely podz would and moody would be ideal
I SAID I wanted Kyle Anderson yesterday!! Didn't think it would happen.
why you want him
This is a good pick up, a ball handling big allows Steph to play off ball. Could step in the shoes of Iggy in GSW offense.
Ive always liked Slo-Mo, as well as Melton. Really solid moves for the Warriors
You said “how he handled the rehab”. What did you mean?
Damn you quick alch!
Steph and jk won't make the play in
It’s cooked, warriors won’t even make the play ins
All these guards and we still have guards from 3 seasons ago we don't use.
I thought warriors were done for. I saw the Melton sign and that was great. Now we got SloMo? While I don't think we're contending, if our young guys especially Kuminga takes a leap, I think we can make it to the playoffs.
lastly to clarify.. i do not like this trade but i did like this vid because u da man alc
How did klay handle the rehab process?
A Markkanen away from being real interesting. Heck...I'd settle for KAT but I like it so far.
I appreciate all the positive comments about KA on this site. On some of the other sites they are all "Doom and Gloom" about this pickup. Refreshing - thanks everyone!
It's the "Klay is gone." emotion.
Great pick up ok KA. totally fits our team with the defense and IQ, competitive and mature. I'm not sure about DA., seems like a lot of money for a mediocre backup
Lol, avert your eyes children! Slowmo is about to shoot!!!!! I like this get tho. Bro is just a good player.
Any enemy of Gobert is ok with me..
Post is where it’s at in my opinion..
These signings could be a big pivot for a trade for Lauri. Jazz have a plethora of first round picks. They some plug n play players…
Wiggs, GPII possibly Podz and whatever pick we have package that for Lauri
Gs going back to defense I like the pick up
Love this acquisition. Slow -Mo. .
No kuminga for nobody
Lmao
if kuminga can make the step this year or if podz gets unlocked with better iq people or some other event, the rebuild got potential.
how does he compare to saric
Would be wonderful if dubs would work HARD getting Post playing MAJOR minutes. 40% from a big at 7ft..
Is Quentin Post going to play in the summer classic? I thought he was injured.
I think they are looking at sometime during Vegas, but he probably wont play 1st game or games.
is he? that be disappointing
@@AthleticAlchemy I just didn’t know-I had heard he was rehabbing, but maybe he’s going to be better sometime during summer league.
@@AthleticAlchemy I think they are just being overly cautious with the calf pain, but yea thats what was being reported
Im so happy, ive wanted slo mo forever
He got that Chuck Hayes verification shot
Post not playing Summer leauge
Im optimistic about the season
If the warriors can't pull off a big trade what do you think about trying to trade wiggs and picks for John Collins or Cameron Johnson?
I was looking at DFS or Cam since they are tanking again.. but we did just use the TPE
John Colin’s is a no go cam Johnson on the other hand would be nice .
I wouldn't give anything for marrekan I would keep the te have RIGHT NOW! Klay wasn't there in 2022 and they were what 28 amd 8 with Steph JP (Podz) Wiggs (JK) Dray amd loon (TJD) with Belli (QP) and Otto (Slow mo) and Wiggs.... 16 pts off the bench and still a really good Defender!
Good pickup, all they need now is to get a big star player
Love this signing
i actually like all the moves... every single one except I didnt know about Post, I was thinking Brandin Carlsen would be our new 3pt shooting 7 footer or Ariel Hukporti as a Euro African lob threat... Im liking the talent depth approach to contrast the Superstar link ups we're seeing.
Beekman-3 straight all defensive player in ACC, and 2 straight defensive player of the year for ACC(although, so far, I haven't seen this in videos.). And yes, I hated Kyle, too, but now he's with us. For shooting, resign Lester Quinones.
Yeah Draymond Insurance came to my mind as well
Jalen Smith, Tobias Harris and Anderson were really the only non-guards available that would fit the NTPMLE.
Looks like they're trying to recreate that 2022 run, good defense , offense by committee and when things gets tight everyone on the chef's back and let him bring them to the promise land ,, hopefully ..
Draymond just confirmed this is a really good trade he’s excited‼️💛💙
How many guards do we need.
This guy ain't a guard
One more, and his name is Lester Quinones.
