125 grams (½ cup) Sourdough Starter
150 grams (½ cup) Water
125 grams ( ½ cup) Milk
25 grams (2 tbsps) Olive Oil
25 grams (1 ¼ tbsps) Agave Syrup
10 grams (½ tbsp) Sea Salt
11 grams (1 tsp) Diastatic Dry Malt Powder

The best recipe!!! I double the recipe. After baking and cooling sliced them and freeze half of the rolls. My husband and kids love when I use it for their sandwiches. Also, I tried using this same recipe, but instead of hoagie rolls I shaped it into baguettes, and used for open top sandwiches. LOVE IT!!! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH FOR SHARING!!!

Thank you for this recipe. I made it yesterday with a few deviations. I made 6 rolls instead of 4 large ones. I used honey instead of agave syrup. It’s delicious, and easy to make. ❤❤

I substituted 100g of the flour with whole wheat, and it really improved the flavor. And I sliced a few loaves in half, spread garlic paste, olive oil and parmesan cheese on them and toasted them. Really amazing garlic bread.

Thanks for the great recipe. I did a little different twist making 8 round sandwich rolls instead of 4 hoagie rolls. Just divided the dough again shaping into rounds. Same temperature and time. Came out puffy and golden brown. I would recommend using a silicon baking mat over parchment paper.

I also added the salt in the mixture after I added all the flour in the dough, instead of mixing it with the liquids

Great video. I’ve been working on my Soft SD Sandwich loaf. The ingredients here seem the same, so this dough can be used for sandwich loaf in a bread pan? Also, I prefer no knead, so I can add a bit more water and longer ferment?
You can and it would give you a similar result. For a sandwich bread recipe I recommend some of the following recipes

Yes you can
What can I use instead for the diastatic dry malt powder?
If you don’t have it just don’t use it, there is not a proper substitute for malt powder

This did not work at all for me. One more sourdough failure. It kind of turned out all though they were much smaller. They had no sourdough taste. It was pretty bland. But so far, I have had no luck getting a descent loaf of sourdough. I have watched numerous videos for the starter and bread. What I always end up with is a flat not well raised loaf of bread that you can hardly eat because it’s hard as a rock. I followed your video to the letter. No luck.
It sounds like maybe your starter is not mature enough? Check that first
Hoagie rolls are not suppose to be sourdough. These look good but they are NOT authentic as hoagie rolls.
