They chose Omega's Seamaster 300M Professional for "GoldenEye," and the rest is history. The partnership clicked, and Omega became an integral part of the Bond legacy, adding a touch of adventure and style to 007's wrist ever since.

The story I've heard more it was someone in the props department that decided on omega. Lindy Hemming is her name.
