@@SilverVSPlatinum Hungrybox, Zain, Llod, None; I'd say enough of the top 10 was there plus some other strong players like Axe, Ginger, etc. Don't discredit this man's dominance. This ain't coming from a die hard fan either, the guy is just playing on a level I haven't seen in a hot minute.
@@SilverVSPlatinum doesn’t take away from the fact that was a huge comeback win against the wall that is Lodd who also had home field advantage. Big win for Mang0 regardless
@@SilverVSPlatinum You can say the same thing about Hbox winning Wavedash 2022 last week lol, only top 10 players were Jmook & Kodorin, Mang0 was there too but he’s ranked #11. But of course you’ll find an excuse and defend Hbox.
Yup, Iv always said mango has that extra gear that nobody else has (closest is plup/M2k) where he just looks unbeatable. It’s like when you see it happen you think “woah I don’t see other people doin that” it’s like the Michael Jordon effect. He’s built different.
@@ephraimkwon66 yea leffens fox in particular when he plays his best is the most dominant looking thing ive seen in all of melee, he just dismantles your every move and has near perfect punish game.
I really appreciate Walts game focused commentary but I'd love to see him work on some more conversational discussion alongside someone like Vish. Great commentary on a great game!
+1, it felt like he was always presenting like it was a last hit situation too, like it gets a little jarring when you start at 80% energy and only have 20% left to go for the actual tense moments, but i really enjoyed vish and walt as a duo :)
Llods recovery was really bad this set, and also he got hit by a bunch of untrue up throw up airs. Plus some of the worst chaingrabbing I’ve ever seen in top level fox peach I’m surprised he took took 2 games let alone 1.
I don't feel like mango played particularly well this set, he just was fox so he can kill easier and capitalize off mistakes better. That last game though was the best his fox has looked
Super Smash Con is still live! Check it out here: "www.twitch.tv/vgbootcamp"
Rank 11? Seems like folks forgot the 1st commandment of Melee:
Thou shalt not sleep on the Kid.
A lot of the Top 10 isn't here

This is a great showing by a rank 11 player against someone in the top 10.
What was his name again? Margo? He's going places in melee

Mangle. I think
Mengo? Idk
Lol. Walt yelling don't call it a comeback gives life man

That game 5 was legendary man, mang0 went into another gear. An "I'm still that guy" moment
there is no player on the planet who has such noticeably different gears than mango.

Don't forget about Johnny stocks
Glad to see Mango playing Fox vs Peach again
I cried
Mango is single handily carrying the community, win or lose. I don’t want to think of the day where he retires from competitive melee…..
How is this man so swag and still winning? He's doing the craziest stuff, barely getting away with it, and clutching the set. What a legend.
I’m upset IBDW and plup weren’t here to catch this mango ass whoopin. They shook.
I haven't seen Mang0 play this insanely fucking hot since Summit 11, just sayin
Being down two stocks to four stocking your opponent in the same game is the mango
This set was awesome, and the commentators did a really great job in building the hype throughout it. Great stuff all around.
Ayo Walt bringing that oldschool Bobby Scar energy on the mic, I fuckin love it
Even though he lost, this makes me wonder what position Llod would be in if he wasn't BUSY SAVING LIVES.
So is Llod confirmed the legendary unranked peach Leo?
Now that is at least a 10.5 performance

Why is there an ad every minute. Also gramblo frank.
When mang0 ran at llod floating at ledge and shined, I felt that
LETS GOOOOOO MY GOAT
Mango's final stock of this set was just peak Fox play from him
It’s 2022 and mang0 is still here.
That was 4 stocks unreplied in game 5
Bro walt with the mario kart line, this dude is a godlike commentator lol

Wait this isn't Armada?
After playing against Armada for so many years, I doubt that any peach player will be much of a problem for him.
The COMMENTARY was FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
12:31 Krusty Krab FUNFAIR.
Take a shot every time mang0 baits out a cc downsmash
What an insane game five
NEO IS HERE BABY!!
*@ **13:21** a 4 stock happens*
Throwing a turnip upwards does nothing to Fox's up B. Fox is able to fly through it without taking damage
4 unanswered stocks from Mang0 in game 5

So glad the Melee community banned Steve. Definitely for the best
Not trynna be that guy but commentators be really treating Mango like the protagonist, kinda gets annoying
Edit: ok it wasnt so bad after game 1
Why are they STILL making people wear masks at these tournaments? They don’t even require them at pro sports games anymore

They gave Mango a waaayyyyyyy easier pool than Hungrybox or Zain.
Zain went to loser's early. Mang0 had to play clutch God twice.
