- In this episode, we focus on food and hunger, walking and running, fast and slow. We encounter more constructions with "mihi placet", "I like...", this time with infinitive verbs, eg. "mihi placet ambulāre", "mihi placet currere," "mihi placet cibum cōnsūmere". We also meet the irregular verb "volō" (I want) in the context of wanting food when hungry.
Latin subtitles are available! Also there's a blooper reel of an... explosive scene... that didn't make it into the main episode.

time for a LIVE LATIN Minecraft stream!
As the Metaverse develops, I can imagine a virtual Ancient Rome where Latin enthusiasts can speak, interact with others and learn Latin. The same with an Ancient Greece as well. True immersion.
@@patricktuorto What a giant leap forward that will be towards the Matrix becoming reality. Great.
Minecraftium got me into learning Latin, I put them on randomly every now and then. Please make more ❤️
C'mon serpetor!!!! Not cool man, not cool.
I am originally from Rome, I studied latin in high school many moons ago, it was one of the few things I liked to do and I was not completely terrible at.
Finding a YT channel from an Australian professor teaching latin through minecraft (among other means) in such a delightful way is just heartwarming.
Gratias magistra. 💙

I learn a lot with these series, thank you Magistra 🥺❤💯. I'm so happy because my latin has been improving recently 😊

Watching this I realized how easy is to learn Latin for a Spanish speaker.
There is almost no word that looks alien to me.
I can't believe how boring and difficult is the traditional way to teach latin.
Yes, the natural methods make the language so much less intimidating to learn than the grammar-translation method, especially if your native language has so many of its words derived from Latin!
Romans colonized Spain (Hispania) for a long time and are virtually your neighbours, so of course words are familiar to you.
Hey, Christopherus, get a clue, man! Obviously, Magistra is INTO you! Don't you know what it means when a woman invites you back to her place for a meal? Instead you eat seven loaves of bread? Sheeesh!
mihi placet Christopherus

Could you tell us how to access a Latin-language Minecraft server? Having object names and labels in Latin would be great!
I'm not sure how public servers work, as I've only ever played on multiplayer on a Local Area Network (LAN) but the Latin language is available without mods or anything just by going into the language settings
tū es testūdō. has a sweeter statement ever been said?
Serpetor missus est ab editore Wheelock's
Regarding the intro, I can't seem to find the form "lūdeāmus" anywhere. Is it not supposed to be "lūdāmus" for "let's play"?
Yes, it should be ludamus. I had messed it up at the beginning.
Is contenta the same as happy or same as full? Laeta or plena? Is my spelling correct?
contenta has the base meaning of satisfied, not needing to seek more.
