    Hi Rebecca, I love the way you explain the poems and really seem to feel them. I'm a literature teacher myself and it's so nice to revisit some great poetry and get to know new stuff with you. Thanks A lot and keep the fire burning! xxx

      Hello, fellow teacher! Thanks for your kind words. Is there a great poem that you can recommend to me? I'm guessing that you have a few that students love, but that I haven't covered yet. :-)

      SixMinuteScholar I teach English in Germany, so unfortunately I can only cover A few Poems with My A-Level students. Some of my alltime favourites are: Stop all the clocks (W. H. Auden), Stopping by woods (Robert Frost), The Tyger (W. Blake). I'll check my course books! Keep it up, A.

    The World is too much with us; late and soon,
    Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers:
    Little we see in Nature that is ours;
    We have given our hearts away, a sordid boon!
    The Sea that bares her bosom to the moon;
    The Winds that will be howling at all hours,
    And are up-gathered now like sleeping flowers,
    For this, for everything, we are out of tune;
    It moves us not.-Great God! I’d rather be
    A Pagan suckled in a creed outworn;
    So might I, standing on this pleasant lea,
    Have glimpses that would make me less forlorn;
    Have sight of Proteus rising from the sea;
    Or hear old Triton blow his wreathèd horn.

    Hello Rebecca! your explanations are deep and accurate. It feels that you look at literature in a unique point of view and that is fascinating! You help me a lot throughout my studies being a literature student from Saudi Arabia. (:
    Is there a way to contact you dear Rebecca? Thank you in advance.

    "The World is too much..." though it was clic bait for a Bond movie. Thanks for reminding us of Poetry. Our tough English teacher taught that it was not for sissies.
