    Thanks Keenyn. I didn't know this rules ever before. I thought there were all pronounced as two syllable pronounce 'iəs' and I always did that. Right now, I know the rule for looking at the previous syllable sounds 'ʃ' or 'dʒ', and then It pronounces the one syllable sound 'ʌs'.

    Love your lessons. I have always been curious about etymology, stumbled across your lessons over a year ago and was fascinated and shocked. My pronunciation was poor to say the least, you’ve helped me rectify some of my extremely bad habits. Thus I sound more professional but bad habits are very hard to break. Still working on it. Thanks
