Leyland Lynx E51 MMT

This particular Lynx may have been the very last with hydracyclic transmission and certainly she was a bit of a throwback her TL11 engine growling in the back. Safeguard took four Lynxes, D165 HML, E51 MMT, E297 OMG and E298 OMG, the first two with this setup and the last two Cummins L10/ZF. By the time I boarded this, the year was 2004 and she was no longer running for Safeguard but Damory Coaches in the South West where I boarded her on a nice sunny morning in Dorchester for a run through some really rural roads in the Dorset countryside to Bandford Forum. The last section of this now extended recording carries the most tuneful hub reduction noises I've ever heard.
