These records were really common in dolls of the 70s and early 80s. I have a bigger doll with similar records from my childhood which should be able to walk too. Not knowing if she still can. I remember her singing a song
about wind blowing the leaves away.

The big doll sounds fun. What is her name?

I would have loved these taller dolls as a kid. I think I was like 3 or 5 when they came out. Shucks!

Love these dolls. I was a teenager when they came out, but they are vintage enough for me to want them!

Maybe using a thin metal finger nail file to get it out? Of course, very carefully or it will get damaged. Good luck! I remember buying a Cynthia doll only she was the regular fashion doll size. Unfortunately, I lost her to moving years ago.

The file is a good idea but it still didn't help. Thanks anyway.

These are such cute dolls! I've never seen these dolls before. Dang that it is so hard to get the records out. I hope the vendor with the clothes will be back at the next show for you and have the clothes for the same price. Thanks for sharing. 😊

Too bad about the records, but they are very cute dolls.
I remember a talking doll I saw years ago at a dollar store. It would splice different clips together at random to make phrases, so there were these little pauses in its talk.

My Cynthia's record gets stuck, too, and I can't get it out! Also common for these dolls is that one leg (L) will start to turn a pasty, faded color, even in MIB dolls. I have 4 dolls, and only 1 has leg color that matches. Very strange!!

The spring is probably weak where you can't pull it out.

It was me that told you about reversing the batteries in baby first step. Unfortunately I’ve never had Cynthia so I have no tips or tricks for her. Sorry.

They are really beautiful. Congrats. Her records might be messed up a bit, but at least she can talk. ;-) I was hoping to go to the St. Chas Show, but sadly, we have something going on here.
