The cameraman also got fooled by the male
Ry Zeus exactly what I was thinking
Ry Zeus this is the funniest comment yet
yes they were focusing on the male eagle that was the decoy, funny thing was that the eagles decoyed them as well, while female eagle made the kill
10 per week is a balance.. 1.4 or 1.5 round off per day... it is ok!! , yes the camera man also got fooled byt eh mate,, as pointed out by Ry Zeus.. I gave him a thumbs up too. and am making a C.C to Ry Zeus..
Ry Zeus the hyrex are endangered! This is illegal!
Cameraman was fired shortly after missing the money shot
Huh.... I just got fooled to... What just happened...😂😂😂
In D&D, there's a kind of monster eagle called a "Roc", which captures an elephant and takes off with one.
In this case, life in Arabia seems to reflect that.
Reminds me also of the Giant eagles from Sinbad's stories. which are also from arabia.
Funnily enough the myth of the roc comes from The Middle East.
The Roc is giant mythical bird from Sindbad stories of One Thousand and One Nights
@@ivyssauro123 The "giant eagle" of Sindbad is the Roc.
@@baibac6065 Oh, I remember reading it and like there were several of them, they lived in a valley and hunted giant snakes that lived there.
Maybe it's like what their kind is named after.
Hyrax Iooks like a closer family of Rodents more than the elephants.
that lizard got scared 1:07
when i watch bbc earth i forget all my problems
Yeah for only four minutes.
can anybody tell me the name of the species of this Eagle ??? Too much lovely manuevers
Verreaux's eagle.
2:19, rodent is like, i'l screw your happiness.
It's not a rodent, but a rock hyrax
Paenungulata, (hyrax, manatee, elephant) not rodent (woodchuck, chipmunk, squirrel).
in "their" way, and "its" prey
That thumbnail tho
vi a una aguila cazar o a una aguila volar?
The guys that film this, thought, we'll create such a fancy story to make people forget that we were not able to film the kill.
JASON J.D. Or maybe it was that the male also distracted the camera men while the female makes the kill
Bearz This is more likely, yep.
lol
The female probably killed another hyrax that was off camera.
Editing magic lol
"Attention eagles, you are entering raven air space, leave now or prepare to be fired upon" 1:20
ravens are smart enough to have atc lol
More like 1:55
"Sir, permission to engage?"
Dude they straight up had a dogfight at the end
😀
Great footage but not seeing the kill was disappointing.
right
Mason B We didn't see the footage because, as noted, "the male was a decoy". Something tells me camera crew got... decoyed **insert pre-recorded laughs** :v
Mason B I'm glad they didn't show it.
The female probably got a hyrax that was off camera.
They had the footage surely, but they have to edit it out to please all these cry babies. It happened all the times.
relationship goals
From that that thumbnail it looks like you are already living the life bro
Lol 😂
I really wish shows like this were more common in America. Now that the discovery channel and animal planet have gone down the toilet, they're so hard to find :(
About a year ago discovery a 7 episode mini series called, "North America" it is incredible I suggest you watch it.
Nat geo & bbc both have their own channels
Yeah those vet shows that they non-stop play on animal planet are boring as heck.
Ik 😕 i used to watch animal planet docs all the time but now the channel isnt very good
i cant get enough of bbc earth i swear
Me too the views are so amazing
Hãris حارس you can't get enough BBC?
Hãris حارس o
I feel the same. I used to watch the full videos 2 years ago. Still interests me to this day, I need to get back into it
You need to live in the bush
2:16
"DO A BARREL ROLL"
Was looking for ths
"Your father helped me like that too"
damn it beat me to it
Yeah man as epic as it gets combined with the suspense music it's like a true dogfight, I mean birdfight haha
2:38 But the Hyrax have a unique blue-tinted retina, allowing them to stare directly back into your soul.
"come and get me, I dare ya"
That's a great statement.lol.
I think, I have found my spirit animal.
It should be called a Pyjak.
@i hate anime you seem to know the ways of the varren.
This bird is amazing! I've never seen anything like it. It did a flip while it was in the air and never lost balance. The dives looked incredibly cool. And even more impressive, it looked upwards while it flying. Man I wish I could fly.
you absolutely took the words out of my head... EXACTLY
I've seen bigger birds do that a few times but still cool everytime
Same feelings of mine, this kind of sobered, steady, balanced glide and aerobatics I haven't ever seen in any eagle video !!!! really awesome, I saw this video multiple times just to see the aerobatics, specially for that vertical flip !!!
Needs More Flash!!! HAVE A RED BULL MATE.LOL
We need to see more massive stars exploding to bring about this massive eyes watering beauty creatures
2:16 Wow!!! What a shot!
Thank you! I noticed that too!!!! It was exceptional!
was just about to say, that was a bad ass barrel roll.
Johnny AfghanSeed *Aileron roll. Barrel rolls are something else. But it was still really cool.
The sound effect made it even more cool
how many heard the name "Hyrax" for the first time?
I just heard it now from you. I thought it was a High Rat.
Hirak
Lola
2:11 That Hyrax looks _super_ hillbilly
Those Eagles are surprisingly graceful for their size
The amount of time they have their wings open without flapping is pretty cool to watch.
ABSOLUTELY IMPRESSIVE MANEUVERS !
I loved the comment that seeing eagles hunting together is rare in the animal world, followed by shots of multiple birds from different species working together to defend territory from the eagles.
Best example of arm-race : eagle vs rodent => rodent uses hide in cliff => eagle uses hide in sun => rodent uses blue cornea => eagle uses team wprk
+Pokoirl YaSe Hyraxes are not rodents, but besides that, you are quite right.
Yeah - very good point
And now the hyrax will need to evolve a more advanced 360 degree sentry system. This staring straight on at a single predator isn't going to cut it.
imagine your tactics being so used up that your target does not get smarter about it byt literally evolves against it.
Pokoirl YaSe eagle uses team work => hyrax develops surface to air missiles, surprising the hell out the eagles.
Fantastic roll 2:15
A female verreaux's eagle needs to partner up to find it's prey, a rare tactic seen in the bird world as they work as a team against everything in there way. BBC Earth
I'm watching this again just for the barrel roll and other aerobatics! This bird is amazing!!!
2:16 when a noob tries to attack a pro and he shows u who's the BOSS
it's looking like suarez
Amar Gunputh ROFL
hahaha
LOL. This comment absolutely killed me.
They kill 10 of them a week and you couldn't even capture 1 on the camera. What a joke
2:44 allowing them to stare directly back.... into my soul.
"Their" is spelt incorrectly in the video's description.
TrueFireAnt Fascinating
+Tren979797 Wait how is that fascinating? lol
Isn’t spelt spelled “spelled”?
Imagine that, two giant birds w/ the consciousness to work in tandem like that. & for prey to be naturally equipped w/ the perfect counter to one of it's tactics. Nature is so specialized & synchronized it's both astounding and beautiful.
2:16 Get deflected!
0:52 HOW IS THAT A DISTANT RELATIVE OF THE ELEPHANTS?!?!?!?
Baby Emu! One thing is for sure
THEY don’t have rodent teeth , So NO rodent
So pigs are also related to elephants ? They have tusks... Walruses too ???
@@grantkeller8024 no, pigs are even toed animals so they are related to giraffes, bizons etc. Walruses are carnivora so they are related to bears, dogs, seals, sealions and stuff. While both elefant and hyrax are Afrotheria, which includes bunch of african species such hyraxes elefants and for example sea cows.
and don't forget about the elephant shrew and the aardvark

Oh, I'm sorry but I thought the video was titles "Eagles Hunt Prey Together" not "Eagles get into a Neighborly Bird Dispute About the Killing of Fanged Rodents"
Funny if eagle mistook an elephant for a hyrax. Just saying.
1:08 🦎 : “screw food, I’m goin home!”
Well hello me 😂
This narrator said the Hyrax closest relative is an elephant ! Lol ! What kind of evolutionary brainwashing can lead to such ridiculous irrationality ?
"there way"?
Air-obatic skills hehehe
I saw rock hyraxes in Tanzania- they are adorable.
Of course, eagles are adorable too. Now I'm confused....
Damn that they look like dragon's
I loved the vampire rats!
Moral: They can hunt you as well by leading your focus on decoy.
Be careful next time or you keep filming decoy and female pluck your ear or eye and feed with chicks.
abit upset that they couldn't catch the female getting her prey but that's life..
Me: I swear I didnt cheat on you
Girlfriend: 2:45
2:45
When I remember I am part of the foodchain
And you missed the kill ... Good one !!!
Very much like a rock elefant !!!
Very much like one just without the trunk.Really? Great video BBC. THX.
*Ain’t nobody gonna mention that cute ass thumbnail?*
“Hey, what are you doing?”
“We are disposing of this footage: we didn’t get the kill.”
“You noob! Send it to fiction.”
“The fiction department? But this is supposed to be a documentary!”
“Just send it to fiction! Trust me.”
This eagle is my wife's spirit animal. But she makes me chase for her food all on my own.
😂 😂 The thumbnail though.
I hate when it’s not David Attenborough 😔
I watched the video again thinking I missed the kill.
Hard to believe its related to elephants and manatees
These eagles tryna go straight Gandalf on they ass
@2:45 What the hell is that, a vampire rodent???
Imma feel sorry them buck-tooth rats.
My respect to this beautiful bird
I wish i also could glide on air like this 😍🤤
while we looked at the male eagle the cameraman's team gave a dead hyriax to the other eagle
yep eagles cant hunt without cameramen, birds have lived 150 million years and they've been able to make a living thanks to bbc cameraman
Lesson of nature:
Nobody likes the eagles!
Eagle is my favourite
Rimmi Khan i was talking about the lizard
The crows , the hyraxes , the falcon And actually everybody in the animal kingdom
Wild Arabia ke arabica coffee?.. Next
That's just straight up dogfight up there
Camera man got fooled too. They had their eyes on the male 📸
It's amazing how the Eagles communicate the plan
This is a test of Cameraman skills too🧐
Did that eagle just do a barrel roll??
You guys spent many minutes building up to a kill that we never got to see. Instead of covering it up, you could have just admitted it: "... in fact, the male's decoy is so effective, our own camera team missed it too." It still would have been a great video. Just saying!!
Eagles are top predators ...literally
Thats me watching this video 2:45
Fooled by Eagles FAIL that’s so cool
1:38-1:42 & 2:32-2:35 dope mid-air flip
Wow Magnificent ,Never seen such acrobatics of an eagle ,now we know the secret behind fighter jet maneuvers. Brilliant video work
These birds are so awesome
That maneuvering at 2:15 - 2:18.....awesome
ruclips.net/video/ciZUWdyoueY/видео.html
my roster
vampier rats
The rat looks like jabba the huts little friend from star wars
SALACIOUS CRUMB.
Guess they didn't catch the kill on film then. And that 360° spin the eagle did to evade the Kestrel was the tits! 👌
link en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rock_hyrax
Those little teeth are hilarious
Eagles are amazing
"a pygmy owl won't do"
*Sigh of relief*
Hyrax- Also called the rock rabbit or rock dassie. A closest living relative of the elephant.
2:17 miss me with that bullshit
no kill cam? seriously?
2:15 Incredible its literally a organic airplane.
2:16 That is very awesome
HEY BBC EARTH.....do you ALWAYS hire people without a firm grasp of English? And do you always proudly display your efforts??? "....they work as a team against everything in THEIR way"....not THERE way. Jeezus, really?
Even without video of the kill, this was great footage.
I just saw a lizard at 1:06
To take this shot! It almost takes a week & perfect timing! It’s easy to dislike & write crappy comment to get likes! Osme footage.
that look like a vampire 2:48
